Abstract Ubiquitous solar jets or jet-like activities are generally regarded as an important source of energy and mass input to the upper atmosphere wind. However, their triggering driving mechanisms not completely understood. By taking advantage stereoscopic observations with high temporal spatial resolutions taken by Solar Dynamic Observatory ( SDO ) Terrestrial Relations STEREO ), we report intriguing two-sided-loop jet that occurred on 2013 June 02, was dynamically associated eruption a...

Ideal Al-doped ZnO (AZO) thin films should have high carrier mobility and concentration, as well thermal chemical stability. To achieve these properties, be heavily doped with Al perfectly crystallized. Through analyzing the possible valence state of elements local lattice structures AZO during gas-phase deposition process, we find that current method may encounter an intrinsic obstacle heavy doping Al, stability, (perfect crystallinity) cannot achieved simultaneously. However, based on...

Abstract Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) can minimize the risk of birth defects. However, accuracy and applicability routine PGT is confounded by uneven genome coverage high allele drop‐out rate from existing single‐cell whole amplification methods. Here, a method to diagnose mutations concurrently evaluate embryo competence leveraging abundant mRNA transcript copies present in trophectoderm cells developed. The feasibility confirmed with 19 donated blastocysts. Next, applied 82...

Helicity-dependent photocurrent (HDPC) has been observed in epitaxial thin films of the three-dimensional topological insulator ${\mathrm{Sb}}_{2}{\mathrm{Te}}_{3}$ with a thickness 7, 20, and 30 quintuple layers (QLs). By analyzing incident angle dependence HDPC, we successfully extract induced by circular photon drag effect (CPDE) even parity from HDPC. It is found that photogalvanic (CPGE) larger than odd CPDE. The CPGEs top bottom surface states are distinguished at room temperature. As...

The authors report the electrical transport properties of an individual degenerately In-doped ZnO (ZnO:In) nanobelts. room temperature resistivity and electron concentration ZnO:In nanobelts are found to be 8.9×10−4 Ω cm 1.17×1020 cm−3, respectively. dependent agrees well with Bloch–Grüneisen theory due electron-acoustic phonon scattering mechanism. A high failure-current density 7.4×106 A/cm2 is measured because single-crystalline metallic structure.

This paper reported the phase behavior and aggregate structure of tetrabutylammonium perfluorooctanoate (TBPFO), determined by differential scanning calorimeter, electrical conductivity, static/dynamic light scattering, rheology methods. We found that above a certain concentration TBPFO solution showed anomalous temperature-dependent transitions. Such an ionic surfactant exhibits two cloud points. When temperature was increased, turned from homogeneous-phase to liquid−liquid two-phase...

By introducing Mg-doped InGaN/AlGaN strained-layer superlattice (SL) as p-type layer, the performance of Ohmic contact is improved compared with AlGaN/GaN and InGaN/GaN SLs. SL yields higher hole concentration due to larger oscillation valence band edge smaller activation energy. The calculated average in shows a twofold increase that at same level. measured sheet density for ten periods high 4.4×1014 cm−2. Although fast kink oscillations of coronal loops have been extensively studied for decades, details about their excitation, evolution, and damping remain elusive. Here, we present, the first time, a longitudinally asymmetrical oscillation loop that is excited by GOES C-class flare located diagonally below system. In this work, we explored the feasibility and accuracy of detecting motor impairment in Parkinson's disease (PD) via implicitly sensing analyzing users' everyday interactions with their smartphones. Through a 42 subjects study, our approach achieved an overall 88.1% (90.0%/86.4% sensitivity/specificity) discriminating PD from age-matched healthy controls. The performance was comparable to alternating-finger-tapping (AFT) test, well-established test clinical settings. We believe that implicit...
