Lung cancer is a malignancy with high mortality worldwide, and metastasis occurs at frequency even when spread not detectable primary operation. Cancer stemness plays an important role in malignant behavior, treatment resistance, metastasis. Therefore, understanding the molecular pathogenesis behind cancer-stemness-mediated developing effective approaches to prevent are key issues for improving treatment. In this study, we investigated of CD44 marker lung using vitro clinical studies....
Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) outbreaks have constituted a public health issue with drastic mortality higher than 34%, necessitating the development of an effective vaccine. During MERS-CoV infection, trimeric spike protein on viral envelope is primarily responsible for attachment to host cellular receptor, dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4). With goal generating protein-based prophylactic, we designed subunit vaccine comprising recombinant S1 trimerization motif (S1-Fd)...
Oral cancer is one of the highest-incidence malignancies worldwide, with occurrence oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) being most frequently diagnosed form. A barrier for management may arise from tumor cells that possess properties stemness, which has been recognized as a crucial factor in recurrence and metastasis. As such, understanding molecular mechanisms underlying these provide insights improving treatment. MRE11 core protein RAD50/MRE11/NBS1 complex primary role DNA damage repair,...
Collective migration is important to embryonic development and cancer metastasis, but migratory nonmigratory cell fate discrimination by differential activity of signal pathways remains elusive. In Drosophila oogenesis, Jak/Stat signaling patterns the epithelial fates in early egg chambers later renders motility clustered border cells. How spatiotemporally switches static epithelia motile cells largely unknown. We report that a nuclear protein, Dysfusion, resides on inner membrane interacts...
Genetic regulation of vascular patterning is not fully understood. Here, we report a novel gene, gtpbp1l (GTP-binding protein 1-like), that regulates development in zebrafish. Amino acid sequence comparison and phylogenetic study showed conserved vertebrates. Gtpbp1l mRNA expressed the vasculature during embryogenesis. Knockdown by morpholino impairs intersegmental vessel (ISV) caudal vein plexus (CVP), indicating role vasculature. Further apoptosis assays transgenic fish tests suggested...
