Organic neutral π-monoradicals are promising semiconductors with balanced ambipolar carrier-transport abilities, which arise from virtually identical spatial distribution of their singly occupied and unoccupied molecular orbitals, SOMO(α) SOMO(β), respectively. Herein, we disclose a boron-stabilized triphenylmethyl radical that shows outstanding thermal stability resistance toward atmospheric conditions due to the substantial spin delocalization. The is used fabricate organic Mott-insulator...
Patients with chronic liver disease sometimes develop cholestasis, which induces severe whole-body pruritus that may disrupt daily activities and sleep. To determine the efficacy of nalfurafine hydrochloride (5 μg), is a selective κ-opioid receptor agonist, in improving pruritus, we undertook double-blind placebo-controlled study patients refractory pruritus. Nalfurafine at 2.5 μg was also used to evaluate dose-response relationship. In total, 318 subjects were randomly assigned receive...
Heteroatom doping is a powerful strategy to alter the electronic structure of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Especially boron endows PAH scaffolds with electron-accepting character and Lewis acidic centers. Herein, we report that embedding five-membered borole ring into skeleton imparts π-system antiaromatic thereby induces unique properties behavior. A series borole-embedded π-conjugated compounds were synthesized from teraryl precursors via borylation/intramolecular electrophilic...
We report the kinetically controlled supramolecular polymerization of boron-containing π-conjugated molecules, which was enabled by a seeding method based on dual trapping metastable state synergistic intramolecular hydrogen bonding and Lewis acid-based complexation. Planarized triarylborane-based 1, bears diamide chain with chiral alkyl groups, synthesized. Upon cooling, solution monomer 1 afforded in cooperative manner to form helical nanostructures intense J-type aggregate emission. In...
We report on the fluorescence properties of a new class emissive and stable π-radicals that contain boron atom at position distant from radical center. A fully planarized derivative exhibited an intense red with high quantum yields (ΦF >0.67) even in polar solvents. To elucidate origin this phenomenon, we synthesized another boron-stabilized contains bulky aryl group atom. comparison these derivatives, as well conventional donor-π-acceptor (D-π-A)-type π-radicals, unveiled several...
A series of fully fused boron-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons is synthesized. Self-assembly an amphiphilic derivative can be controlled by addition a Lewis base or acid in aqueous media.
Abstract Organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) employing a single active layer potentially offer number of benefits compared to multilayer devices; reduced materials and deposition steps, potential for solution processing, operating voltage due the absence heterojunctions. However, single‐layer OLEDs achieve efficiencies approaching those devices, balanced charge transport is prerequisite. This requirement excludes many efficient emitters based on thermally activated delayed fluorescence...
Abstract Electron‐deficient heteroacenes that contain two tricoordinate boron atoms in their acene skeletons and planarized phenyl ether moieties at periphery were synthesized via the borylation of silicon‐bridged precursors. X‐ray crystallographic analysis revealed quinoidal structures, which give rise to two‐step reversible redox processes for both reduction oxidation. These compounds exhibit intense absorption sharp fluorescence bands with vibronic structures near‐infrared (NIR) region....
Direct yaw-moment control (DYC) is an effective method to make vehicle motion stable. In the DYC of vehicles having in-wheel motors and both active front steering system rear system, input generally has redundancy. The variables can not be decided uniquely generate same yaw-moment. equalization workload for each wheel by longitudinal force lateral distribution enhances cornering performance. Therefore, we propose based on least squares solution equations longitudinal, yawing in this paper....
The highly reactive boron-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon 8H-8-bromo-8-borabenzo[gh]tetraphene has been synthesized via a multistep sequence encompassing Peterson olefination, stilbene-type photocyclization, and an Si/B exchange reaction. compound was subsequently treated with mesityllithium to give the derivative 3 or [2,6-bis(propen-2-yl)phenyl]lithium furnish intermediate 4. A scandium(III) triflate mediated Friedel–Crafts reaction transformed 4 into rigid, planarized triarylborane...
Bora-fluoresceins (BFs), fluorescein analogues containing a tricoordinate boron atom instead of an oxygen at the 10-position skeleton, were synthesized as new family analogues. The deprotonated BFs exhibited absorption and fluorescence in near-infrared region, which significantly red-shifted relative to those hitherto-known heteroatom-substituted on account orbital interaction between skeleton. also showed multi-stage changes resulting from Lewis acid-base equilibrium center combination with...
Planarization of B-phenyldibenzo[b,f]borepin allows π-expansion across the B-phenyl group and makes this scaffold a useful electron-accepting unit for donor-π-acceptor type fluorophores.
Abstract Donor–π–acceptor fluorophores that consist of an electron‐donating amino group and electron‐accepting triarylborane moiety generally exhibit substantial solvatochromism in their fluorescence while retaining high quantum yields even polar media. Herein, we report a new family this compound class, which bears ortho ‐P(=X)R 2 ‐substituted phenyl groups (X=O or S) as photodissociative module. The P=X intramolecularly coordinates to the boron atom undergoes dissociation excited state,...
The solid form of a bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ion salt cationic gold(I) complex ligated with cyclohexylisocyanide and an N ‐heterocyclic carbene is found to exhibit excitation‐dependent luminescent properties. form, prepared by maintaining the liquid phase at 90 °C for 7 days followed cooling 25 °C, displays bluish‐purple, purple, orange, red emissions under excitations 340, 360, 370, 380 nm, respectively. Excitation‐dependent emission spectra reveal that observed color changes...
A B,N-diphenyl-5,10-dihydro-dibenzo-1,4-azaborine, in which both phenyl groups on the boron and nitrogen atoms are planarized to generate a carbazole substructure, was synthesized. The structral constraint around alters π-conjugation mode thus photophysical electrochemical properties. Specifically, this structurally constrained dibenzoazaborine showed an intense blue emission with narrow full width at half maximum. One of its derivatives exhibited near infrared absorption one-electron-oxidized state.
