Peripheral nerve damage results in the loss of sensorimotor and autonomic functions, which is a significant burden to patients. Furthermore, injuries greater than limiting gap length require surgical repair. Although autografts are preferred clinical choice, their usage impeded by limited availability, dimensional mismatch, sacrifice another functional donor nerve. Accordingly, guidance conduits, tubular scaffolds engineered provide biomimetic environment for regeneration, have emerged as...

Transmission of viruses through contact with contaminated surfaces is an important pathway for the spread infections. Antiviral surface coatings are useful to minimize such risks. Current state-of-the-art approaches toward antiviral either involve metal-based materials or complex synthetic polymers. These approaches, however, even if successful, will have face great challenges when it comes large-scale applications and their environmental sustainability. Here, coating was prepared by...

The herpes simplex virus (HSV) is associated with serious conditions, such as encephalitis and blindness, its infection closely linked to significant vascular complications coagulation issues, particularly in individuals compromised immune systems. Current antiviral treatments often fall short of effectively eliminating viral shedding face resistance are not entirely effective managing coagulation. HSV recognition heparan sulfate on cell walls for entry well-established. A possible strategy...

Abstract The development of mechanically robust, chemically stable, and yet recyclable polymers represents an essential undertaking in the context advancing a circular economy for plastics. Here, we introduce novel cleavable β‐(1,3‐dioxane)ester ( DXE ) linkage, synthesized through catalyst‐free reaction β‐ketoester 1,3‐diol, to cross‐link poly(vinyl alcohol) PVA formation high‐performance thermosets with inherent chemical recyclability. , modified groups transesterification excess tert...

Here we report a photoactive supramolecular assembly that is multifunctional and constructed by covalently linking four receptor molecules (cucurbit[7]uril) to porphyrin derivative with suitable linkers. While this molecular platform serves very efficiently as light-triggered broad-spectrum antibacterial agent, owing its negligible dark cytotoxicity the presence of host (CB7), it can also be utilized vehicle carry drug for combined chemo photodynamic cancer therapy.

A [5]rotaxane was synthesized through a catalytically self‐threading reaction in which CB6 serves as macrocycle and acts catalyst for the 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition between alkyne substituted porphyrin core azide functionalized stopper groups by forming triazole. Application of this rotaxane photosensitizer photodynamic therapy against cancer cells bacteria inactivation have also been demonstrated. This has an excellent water solubility remains stable biological media at physiological pH...

Under the simultaneous use of pressure-driven flow and DC electric field, migration particles inside microfluidic channels exhibits intricate focusing dynamics. Available experimental analytical studies fall short in giving a thorough explanation to particle equilibrium states. Also, understanding is so far limited results based on Newtonian neutral viscoelastic carrier fluids. Antimicrobial surfaces limit the spread of infectious diseases. To date, there is no antimicrobial coating that has widespread use because short-lived and limited spectrum efficacy, poor resistance to organic material, and/or cost. Here, we present a paint based on waterborne latex particles supramolecularly associated with quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs). The optimal supramolecular pairing was first determined by immobilizing selected ions self-assembled monolayers exposing different...
