This paper discusses a method to directly observe the dose distribution around syringe-needle-type proton-induced monochromatic X-ray source proposed avoid risk that could exist in conventional brachytherapy. Two different kinds of metallic plates on a rotating disk target were irradiated with MeV proton beam, and quasi-monochromatic pulsed X-rays energies around the absorption edge contrast medium alternately produced. By using these dual-energy high-sensitivity X-ray movie camera, we took motion picture transmission image periodically moving phantom, which simulated rat heart as test animal.
