Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is still treated with global immunosuppressants serious toxicities. We hypothesized that endogenous immunosuppressive molecules might be able to control SLE manifestations more specifically. Heat shock protein 10, or chaperonin 10 (Cpn10), a secretory molecule can suppress innate and adaptive immunity. Recombinant human Cpn10 (100 μg per mouse) was given intraperitoneally healthy-appearing female MRL-(Fas)lpr mice from 12 22 weeks of age. At the age weeks,...
Aggregatibactor actinomycetemcomitans colonizes human periodontal lesions and is implicated in both aggressive periodontitis chronic periodontitis. Clinical isolated colonies of A. were rough type. The type has a remarkable ability to adhere tenaciously solid surfaces colonize firmly. Rough change into smooth during the course repeated inoculation biofilm-forming activity ceases. Adherence by mediated tight-adherence (tad) gene locus, which includes flp, rcpA rcpB. In this study, we...
