Abstract RNA modifications are key regulatory factors for several biological and pathological processes. They abundantly represented on ribosomal (rRNA), where they contribute to regulate function in mRNA translation. Altered modification pathways have been linked tumorigenesis as well other human diseases. In this study we quantitatively evaluated the site-specific pseudouridylation pattern rRNA breast cancer samples exploiting RBS-Seq technique involving bisulfite treatment coupled with a...
In recent years, lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) has been shown to be promising in reducing the graft failure rate at short-term follow-up. However, there is a lack of studies investigating incidence complications and osteoarthritis (OA) after this procedure, only few have reported long-term results anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. This study aimed compare rate, clinical outcomes, OA 3 different ACL reconstruction techniques: single-bundle quadrupled hamstring tendon...
A 74-year-old female patient presented with a hard breast mass and dimpling clinical suspicion of carcinoma. Histological evaluation revealed granular cell tumour. Granular tumour is rare neoplasm, mostly benign in origin that may arise every body site, 5%-15% cases occur the breast. It strongly suggested tumours Schwann cells. Clinically, presentation mimic mammary carcinoma their similar features on mammography ultrasound make it difficult to differentiate between them.
In Brief Objective: The goal of our study was to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) frozen section (FS) examinations detect metastatic nodes also its potential role in avoiding unnecessary demolitive axillary surgery. Background: SLNB is standard care surgical oncology breast. Intraoperative evaluation SLN seems achieve sufficient for macrometastasis (Ma), leading dissection (ALND) only when strictly necessary. Is it equally as clear perform ALND if...
Abstract Purpose The purpose of the study was to investigate outcome dual-mobility cup (DM) compared with a standard (SC) in primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) long-term follow-up based on regional Italian joint registry (RIPO). Methods Registry Prosthetic Orthopaedic Implant (RIPO) consulted, looking for all THAs implanted from 2000 2019. Three thousand seven hundred ten were arthroplasties and 85.816 THAs, 89.526 THA. Demographics, survival rates causes revision evaluated between two...
Objectives: Modern lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) has shown promising results at short term follow-up but there is a lack of studies investigating the incidence complication and osteoarthritis (OA) long-term. The aim study was to compare in terms failure rates, clinical outcomes OA three different ACL reconstruction techniques including hamstring single-bundle (HS group), patellar tendon (BTB) over-the-top with LET (LET group). Methods: Seventy-five patients were randomized receive...
Pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH) is a benign breast condition commonly presented as an incidental microscopic finding. However, it can also manifest mass-forming lesion (tumorous PASH) or gigantomastia (diffuse PASH). Most of the previously reported cases are unilateral tumorous PASH treated by mastectomy. In this article, we rare case diffuse bilateral PASH. A 21-year-old woman with two-year history enlargement and neck pain. Physical examination revealed asymmetrical...
Aim of the studyProving on basis scientific evidence derived from a long lasting experience in breast surgery field, how pathologic nipple discharge, as single symptom, can hide more often elderly women malignancies galactophorous ducts.
Objective: Identification of clinical and biological characteristics breast cancer in women with mammary Paget's disease (MPD).Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis for 36 primary diagnosis disease, patients were treated Sant' Orsola-Malpighi Breast Unit Italy, between 2000 2016.Patients demographics, data, radiologic pathologic reports extracted from electronic health records.Result: cases MPD involved. The mean age was 64.28 years (Range, 36-86 years).Only 14 (38.9%) found to have...
