To determine the role of migrant population in transmission tuberculosis (TB), we investigated distribution and magnitude TB permanent residents populations Beijing, People's Republic China, from 2000 through 2006. An exploratory spatial data analysis was applied to detect "hot spots" among 2 populations. Results, using obtained 2004-2006, showed that people who migrated western, middle, eastern zones China had a significantly higher risk having than did residents. These findings indicate...

Intertidal algae may adapt to environmental challenges by acquiring genes from other organisms and relying on symbiotic microorganisms. Here, we obtained a symbiont-free chromosome-level genome of Pyropia haitanensis (47.2 Mb), type intertidal algae, using multiple symbiont screening methods. We identified 286 horizontal gene transfer (HGT) genes, 251 which harbored transposable elements (TEs), reflecting the importance TEs for facilitating into P. haitanensis. Notably, bulked segregant...

The application of 2,2-dichloro-1,3-benzodioxole (DCBZ) as a versatile hydroxyl protection reagent in carbohydrate chemistry has been demonstrated. DCBZ exhibited high reactivity with diverse vicinal and remote dihydroxyl groups furanoses pyranoses to form benzodioxole (BZDO)-protected products. Raltitrexed has shown efficacy and safety in many tumor types; however, the clinical data on treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma is rare. In this report, we aim to assess raltitrexed plus oxaliplatin (OXA)-based transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) patients with unresectable (uHCC). Patients uHCC were recruited from multi-centers China assigned randomly raltitrexed+OXA-based (n=76), fluorouracil+OXA-based doxorubicin+OXA-based (n=75) TACE treatment. The primary end point was overall...

This paper addresses the generalization issue in deepfake detection by harnessing forgery quality training data. Generally, of different deepfakes varies: some have easily recognizable clues, while others are highly realistic. Existing works often train detectors on a mix with varying qualities, potentially leading to short-cut easy-to-spot artifacts from low-quality samples, thereby hurting performance. To tackle this issue, we propose novel quality-centric framework for generic detection,...
