A catalytic asymmetric conjugate allylation was successfully developed to synthesize potential pharmacologically active 4-allyl-2-oxochroman skeletons. dual activation strategy employed by using N,N'-dioxide-Yb(OTf)(3) activate coumarins and (CuOTf)(2)•C(7)H(8) tetraallyltin via transmetalation, respectively. Abstract The asymmetric synthesis of 2‐amino‐5‐oxo‐5,6,7,8‐tetrahydro‐4 H ‐chromene derivatives was achieved through a tandem Michael addition–cyclization reaction easily available cyclohexane‐1,3‐dione and ethyl 2‐cyano‐3‐phenylacrylates. Moderate to good yields (up 81 %) high enantioselectivities 89 % ee ) were obtained with chiral salen–cobalt(II) complex. This process air tolerant performed, which provides an efficient method for the 4 derivatives.
