This double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was performed to evaluate the efficacy of clomipramine for treatment feather picking disorder in otherwise healthy cockatoos. Twenty cockatoos with chronic were screened medical conditions and then randomly assigned either a or placebo group. Based on caregiver assessments physical examination findings, significantly improved when compared at 3 weeks (P=0.028) 6 (P=0.021).
