A new analytical platform called PiTMaP was developed for high-throughput direct metabolome analysis by probe electrospray ionization/tandem mass spectrometry (PESI/MS/MS) using an R software-based data pipeline. PESI/MS/MS used as the acquisition technique, applying a scheduled-selected reaction monitoring method to expand targeted metabolites. Seventy-two metabolites mainly related central energy metabolism were selected; time optimized mouse liver and brain samples, indicating that 2.4...
Objective: External hydrocephalus, introduced by Dandy and Blackfan in 1914 [Am J Dis Child 1914;8:406–482], is used to describe the clinical condition of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) accumulation subarachnoid space with its expansion increased intracranial pressure pediatric patients. Benign subdural effusion, hygroma pseudohydrocephalus are some terms conditions, not clearly defined at moment as separate pathological entities. We report 3 cases which had CSF collections...
A fetus at 30 gestational weeks was observed on fetal ultrasonography to have a dilated right lateral ventricle. After delivery, the entity diagnosed as prenatal intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) due ruptured arteriovenous malformation (AVM). Ultrasonography and MRI examinations performed before birth indicated cerebral aneurysm in territory of middle artery. However, digital subtraction angiography revealed an intracystic AVM. Arteriovenous malformations children are rare, difficult diagnose,...
One of the controversies in foramen magnum decompression (FMD) is management dura. Graft adhesion most common finding revisions after FMD with duraplasty. Furthermore, certain number patients without dural opening required revision surgery. The cause excessive fibrosis over preserved On other hand, dura left open could reduce risk for symptomatic recurrence, although it was generally abandoned because higher postoperative CSF leakage or meningitis. Purpose this study to re-evaluate...
Abstract OBJECTIVES In recent years, due to advances in omics analysis, new findings regarding the malignancy, growth potential, and prognosis of meningiomas have been reported. A classification based on molecular biology genetic has a higher correlation with prognosis. Here, we report comparative study histological malignancy background using multi-omics analysis. MATERIALS & METHODS This focused 42 meningioma specimens including 17 meningothelial (G1), 18 atypical (G2) 7 anaplastic...
In order to obtain a satisfactorily decorative chromium plating from oxalic acid baths, effects of total concentration, Cr6+ SO42- ion, NH4+ pH, temperature and current density on the states electrodeposition were studied. The followings determined as optimum. Bath composition; Cr 100g/l, 12-38g/l, (NH4)2SO4 75g/l, operating conditions; pH 1.8-2.5, 10-300A/dm2 at bath 25-50°C or 20-300A/dm2 60-80°C, carbon anode.
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) rhinorrhea is a common complication after transsphenoidal surgery (TSS). Suturing of sellar dura effective in the prevention postoperative CSF rhinorrhea, but it may cause rare infections. Herein, we report case Aspergillus sphenoiditis with growth noted on cut ends polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) suture used for dural closure.A previously healthy 51-year-old woman complained abnormal odor 5 years TSS null cell adenoma. A white mass sphenoidal sinus was detected...
