Preharvest calcium application has been shown to increase broccoli microgreen yield and extend shelf life. In this study, we investigated the effect of on its metabolome using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry. The data collected were analyzed principal component analysis orthogonal projection latent structural discriminate analysis. Chemical composition comparison shows that glucosinolates, a very important group phytochemicals, are major compounds enhanced...

Abstract In this research, a novel rice composed of grated flour, whey protein, and lotus seedpod oligomeric procyanidins was developed through pre‐gelatinization combined with twin‐screw extrusion techniques. The nutritional, physicochemical properties biological activities the composite were systematically studied. Results revealed that exhibited 17.6% reduction in cooking time, 23.6% increase gelatinization degree, 51.8% decrease rehydration water absorption compared to conventional rice....

Four new jatrophane-type diterpenoids (1−4), together with 16 known related compounds, were isolated from the Chinese medicinal plant Euphorbia helioscopia. The structures of 1−4 determined on basis spectroscopic and chemical methods. Cytotoxicity compounds against HeLa MDA-MB-231 cells was evaluated, only helioscopinolide A (5) euphornin (3a) being active.

Abstract Ginsenoside Rb 1 is an active protopanaxadiol saponin from Panax species. In order to compare the similarities and differences of microbial mammalian metabolisms ginsenoside , transformation by Acremonium strictum metabolism in rats were comparatively studied. Microbial AS 3.2058 resulted formation eight metabolites. Ten metabolites (M1–M10) detected vivo study them identified as same compounds those obtained liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry analysis comparison with...

Flow injection mass spectrometry and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry, two metabolic fingerprinting methods, DNA sequencing were used to identify authenticate Actaea species. Initially, samples of Actaea racemosa from a single source distinguished other species based on principal component analysis soft independent modeling class analogies flow fingerprints. The chemometric results for agreed well showed similar agreement throughout the study. using sequence data...

With the aging of many populations, cognitive and motor dysfunction caused by ischemic stroke (IS) secondary to long-term chronic cerebral ischemia presents a global problem. Enriched environment (EE), classic paradigm response genetic interaction, has shown tremendous influence on brain. This research aimed investigate potential effect EE function in mice with IS. In hypoperfusion (CCH) phase, treatment improved behavior performance alleviating neuronal loss white matter myelin damage,...

Three 20(S)-protopanaxatriol-type saponins, ginsenoside-Rg1 (1), notoginsenoside-R1 (2), and ginsenoside-Re (3), were transformed by the fungus Absidia coerulea (AS 3.3389). Compound 1 was converted into five metabolites, ginsenoside-Rh4 (4), 3β,2β,25-trihydroxydammar-(E)-20(22)-ene-6-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (5), 20(S)-ginsenoside-Rh1 (6), 20(R)-ginsenoside-Rh1 (7), a mixture of 25-hydroxy-20(S)-ginsenoside-Rh1 its C-20(R) epimer (8). 2 10 20(S)-notoginsenoside-R2 (9), 20(R)-notoginsenoside-R2...
