Achieving high selectivity is one of the major challenges for noble metal catalysts. A strategy decoration Pd nanoparticles by N–S doped carbon quantum dots (N,S-CQDs) to regulate proposed. Through adjusting loading amounts N,S-CQDs, toward catalytic hydrogenation reactions can be obtained. N,S-CQDs facilely adhere nanoparticle via surface among C–S/C–N species and C–O support under catalysis particles. N loss was detected due transformation some C–N into nitrogen-containing soluble...

Mechanosensitive PIEZO channels are thought to open their pore through tension-induced flattening of large transmembrane arm domains. Yet, the structural basis this activation remains unclear. Here, we uncover conformational coupling between and opening in PIEZO2 by capturing protein motions across length scales using hybrid-resolution molecular dynamics simulations. Sampling multiple microsecond-long trajectories under physiological tension show that correlates with anticlockwise rotation...

Background and aims
Reg4 is a recently discovered member of the regenerating gene family with distinctive expression profiles in primary cancers. To date, physiological function poorly understood. Previously, authors found that was markedly upregulated during acute pancreatitis (AP). The aim this study to investigate role experimental pancreatitis.
Methods
AP induced C57BL/6 mice by administration either l-arginine or caerulein, assessed immunofluorescence, reverse...

A novel structure of a porous carbon–metal composite was designed and constructed from nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (NCQDs) Ni. NCQDs (3–5 nm) with rich surface groups adsorbed Ni ions can assemble into flake (50–60 via atomic bonding, in which is effectively dispersed separated by NCQDs. Thus, nanosheet uniformly inlaid metal nanoparticle (Ni@NCQDs) built subsequent thermal treatment. As robust catalyst, Ni@NCQDs promote the nitroreduction p-chloronitrobenzene to p-chloroaniline high...

N-Doped mesoporous carbon extrudate with a major quaternary N species has been successfully prepared through direct carbonization of wheat flour/gluten silica, which is cheap and convenient method for scale-up production approach. The obtained metal-free catalyst enables highly efficient vinyl chloride monomer acetylene hydrochlorination, superior catalytic performance excellent stability (>85% conversion selectivity over 99% at 220 °C).

Most of the catalytic hydrogenation reactions take place under high temperature, pressure, and corrosion, which poses a challenge to activity stability catalysts. Herein, an acid resistant strawberry-like metal–carbon sphere (M/SCS) as robust catalyst was synthesized by one-step method. Self-assembled metal nanoparticles gather are embedded on surface carbon prepared carbonization phenolic resin. By means surrounding layer, capability is orders magnitude intensified compared traditional...

Inflammation regulates ventricular remodeling after myocardial infarction (MI), and gabapentin exerts anti-inflammatory effects. We investigated the role mechanism of MI. Rats were divided into sham group (n = 12), MI 20), + 16). was induced by left coronary artery ligation. The effects on THP-1-derived macrophages examined in vitro. In vivo, 1 week MI, significantly reduced inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS; M1 macrophage marker) expression decreased pro-inflammatory factors (tumor...
