With the rapid development of wearable electronics, a multifunctional and flexible strain sensor is urgently required. Even though enormous progress has been achieved in designing high-performance sensors, conflict between high sensitivity large workable range still restricts their further advance. Herein, "point to point" conductive network proposed design fabricate carbon black/polyaniline nanoparticles/thermoplastic polyurethane film (CPUF). The designed structure renders CPUF composites...

The effect of phthalimide compound on the nonisothermal and isothermal crystallization behavior poly(lactic acid) (PLA) was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) polarized optical microscopy. It found that incorporation a small amount promoted PLA significantly. Avrami model applied to analyze kinetics. exponent higher for PLA/phthalimide blends than neat PLA, indicating heterogeneous nucleation mechanism. These results indicate may act as an efficient nucleating agent...
The phase transition from the kinetically favored tetragonal form II into thermodynamically stable hexagonal I is general phenomenon and core issue in application of polybutene-1-based materials. It known that variation molecular structure by copolymerizing counits imposition external stretching both greatly affect transition. In this work, a series butene-1/4-methyl-1-pentene (4M1P) random copolymers were synthesized with dimethylpyridylamidohafnium/organoboron catalyst, where 4M1P...
Deformation-induced phase transition of polyamide 12 (PA 12) was studied with in situ wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) at temperatures below and above glass temperature. Irrespective to the testing temperature, a transient α′′ occurred early plastic deformation stage, whose lifetime is decreasing increase At temperature further transforms into mesomorphic state increasing strain, while high promotes transforming γ′ phase. The different final states due competition coupling between external...
Uniaxial deformations of amorphous poly(lactic acid) (PLA) films were performed at two different temperatures, 70 and 80 °C, various draw strains. The samples deformed °C showed a strain-induced mesophase, the structural ordering thermal stability increased as strain increased. Further annealing was in situ constant length drawing temperature for drawn to strains 100% 230%. Unusually, we found that after annealing, crystal structure film lower more ordered than one higher strain....

The effect of zinc phenylphosphonate on the crystallization poly(lactic acid) using differential scanning calorimetry operating in dynamical mode at various cooling rates is reported. Experimental data were analyzed Avrami, Tobin, and Ozawa models. It concluded that addition modifies process (changing value Avrami exponent). Various parameters such as half-time rate constant reflect significantly accelerates process. activation energy acid), determined by Kissinger method, increases with...
Behavior of the phase transition an ionic liquid, [Cn-mim][PF6], has been investigated under pressures up to 1.0 GPa by using a high-pressure differential thermal analysis (DTA) apparatus. The T versus P diagrams [BMIM][PF6] and [EMIM][PF6] are constructed. DTA curve shows one endothermal valley in heating course at each given pressure, which indicates that simple from solid liquid taken place high pressure melting point is increase function pressure. However, two valleys within tested...
Whether a phase separation or cocrystallization occurs in poly(hexamethylene succinate-co-hexamethylene adipate) (P(HS-co-HA)) copolymers was studied with combination of wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. With HA as the majority, presence HS comonomers leads to weakening broadening (10l) peaks fiber patterns, while crystal structure similar PHS is formed copolymer majority. The patterns imply possible between comonomers, but cannot lead an...
The melt's solidification behaviour of elemental sulfur was investigated by a series experiments including natural cooling at ambient pressure, thermal quenching under high pressure 1 GPa, slow compressing to 2 GPa for 10 min and rapid within 20 ms. Based on the XRD DSC results recovered samples, it is clearly shown that compression an effective process in amorphous phase from melt sulfur. We have successfully large bulk with diameter mm thickness 3 method.
ABSTRACT The stretching‐induced phase transition from tetragonal Form II to hexagonal I and the evolution of corresponding crystallite orientation were studied for butene‐1/ethylene random copolymer with 1.5 mol % ethylene by using a combination tensile test in situ wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction. Three pathways distinguished II‐I transition, including accomplishing within off‐axis oriented crystallites (Orientation Pathway 1), simultaneous formation highly 2), occurring already formed 3)....
The crystal structures of poly(hexamethylene sebacate-co-hexamethylene adipate), P(HSe-co-HA), copolymers have been studied with Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray fiber diffraction. All characteristic FTIR absorption bands the crystals HSe HA comonomers are present in all copolymers, each copolymer has only one melt temperature, which supports that P(HSe-co-HA) cocrystallize a whole range comonomer compositions. In addition to peak shift, some new diffraction...
Abstract The nucleated isotactic polypropylene (iPP) was molded by water‐assisted injection molding. crystalline morphology and orientation distribution were studied. results show that shear brought melt filling pressurized water penetration can separately induce the formation of oriented structures in skin region (i.e., near mold cavity wall) channel region. For virgin iPP, slightly lamellae appear exclusively above aforementioned regions. However, shish‐kebab structure occurs not only iPP...
Deformation-induced crystallization of living polymer sulfur was studied with in situ wide-angle X-ray scattering, where chain scission plays a critical role. The onset always occurs at the minimum stress point after yield point, though different drawing rates were applied. With large rates, deformation effect dictates and linear chain−ring transition, which leads to formation fibrous phase, while only cyclooctasulfur crystals form small thermal is mainly responsible for transition. chains...
