Myocardial infarction (MI) is a major form of heart disease that leads to immediate cardiomyocyte death due ischemia and eventually fibrosis scar formation further dysfunction myocardium failure. Extracellular matrix (ECM) production tissue repair conducted by myofibroblasts, which are formed from the normal quiescent cardiac fibroblasts following transformational changes, through active participation transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) its signaling pathways. TGFβ appears be 'Master all...

(1) Background: We aim to measure the urban-rural inequality of opportunity in healthcare China based on theory Equality Opportunity (EOp). (2) Methods: Following compensation principle, we establish a decomposition strategy for fairness gap, which use measurement utilization. then Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) data from 1997 2006 calculate gap. (3) Results: Empirical analysis using CHNS shows that ratio gap directly observed average difference was 1.167 1997–2000 1.744 2004–2006. The...

Accelerated aging leads to increasing burdens of chronic diseases in late life, posing a huge challenge the society. With two well-developed measures (i.e., physiological dysregulation [PD] and frailty index [FI]), this study aimed evaluate relative contributions life course circumstances (e.g., childhood adulthood socioeconomic status) variance aging.

A novel nontoxic denatured bovine serum albumin (dBSA)-based platform for effectively delivering drugs was prepared. It demonstrated that the as-prepared dBSA micelles could load and deliver a water insoluble anti-cancer drug in vitro assay. The results also indicated denaturization of BSA did not enhance cytotoxicity practically, but significantly enhanced its cellular uptake.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) play a pivotal role in maintaining tissue homeostasis, yet their overabundance can impair normal cellular functions, induce cell death, and potentially lead to neurodegenerative disorders. This study identifies Drosophila Glycoprotein 93 (Gp93) as crucial factor that safeguards homeostasis preserves neuronal functions by preventing ROS-induced, JNK-dependent apoptotic death. Firstly, loss of Gp93 induces apoptosis primarily through the induction ROS. Secondary,...

Management of dura tear during spine surgery remain challenging due to the complex focal environment. Current sealants could hardly independently repair while simultaneously regulate epidural inflammation and fibrosis induced by oxidative stress. A bioadhesive hydrogel sealant with active reactive oxygen species (ROS)-scavenging potential for suppression was designed provide a versatile tool surgeon. Abstract Background Many internal migrants during the urbanization process in China are Migrant Parents, aging group who move to urban areas support their family involuntarily. They more vulnerable economically and physically than younger migrants. However, fragmentation of rural health insurance schemes divided by “hukou” household registration system limit migrant’s access healthcare services resident location. Some counties have started consolidate Urban Resident Basic Medical Insurance...

Abstract Background In patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), higher risks of impaired bone metabolism are widely reported. To evaluate metabolism, mineral density (BMD) and turnover levels should be included. this article, we analyzed the relationship between them in T2DM. Methods We conducted a hospital‐based cross‐sectional study enrolling 1499 hospitalized for T2DM October 2009 January 2013. Multivariate linear regression models were used to identify markers (BTMs) BMD levels. A...
