Abstract Background It has been reported that nitric oxide (NO) could ameliorate cadmium (Cd) toxicity in tall fescue; however, the underlying mechanisms of NO mediated Cd detoxification are largely unknown. In this study, we investigated possible molecular process by comparative transcriptomic and metabolomic approaches. Results The application Sodium nitroprusside (SNP) as donor decreased content fescue 11% under stress (T1 treatment), but was increased 24% when treated with Carboxy-PTIO...
Six previously undescribed cytochalasins, Curtachalasins X1-X6 (1-6), together with six known compounds (7-12) were isolated from the endophytic fungus Xylaria curta E10 harbored in plant Solanum tuberosum. The structures elucidated by interpretation of HRESIMS, UV, and NMR data. absolute configurations determined comparison their experimental calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. In bioassays, Curtachalasin X1 (1) X5 (5) showed cytotoxic activity against MCF-7 cell line...
One previously undescribed chromone (S)-5-hydroxyl-2-(1-hydroxyethyl)-7-methylchromone (1) and one known analogue (2), as well four sativene-type sesquiterpenoids bipolenins A‒C (3‒5), were isolated from cultures of the endophytic fungus Bipolaris eleusines. Their structure elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods data comparison with those reported in literature. Compounds 1 2 showed weak inhibitory activities against Staphylococcus aureus subsp. inhibition rates 56.3 ± 0.48 32 1.27%,...
Abstract Background Plants may adapt to alpine habitats by specialization in the reproductive strategy and functional aspects of their flowers pollination systems. Alpine reduce opportunities for cross-pollination a relatively high proportion plant species, self-pollination be favored these adverse conditions. Here, we investigated mating system Incarvillea mairei , perennial Himalayan herb typically found at altitudes between 3000 4500 m. Results Analyses floral morphology, observation...
A series of terpenoids (1-17), comprising six new compounds designated bipolariterpenes A-F (1-6) and eleven recognized (7-17), were isolated from the wheat culture potato endophytic fungus Bipolaris eleusines. Their structures stereochemistry clarified by HRESIMS, NMR, DP4 + probability analyses, computations for electronic circular dichroism (ECD). All are made up meroterpenoids, four sesterterpenes seven sesquiterpenes. Among them, (4, 5, 10, 11) investigated their antifungal,...
Three new sativene sesquiterpenoids, bipolenins A–C (1–3), together with two known analogs (4 and 5), were obtained from cultures of endophytic fungus Bipolaris eleusines. The structures compounds elucidated on the basis extensive spectroscopic analyses. Compound 2 showed weak inhibitory activities against lung cancer A-549 breast MCF-7 IC50 values 33.2 19.1 μmol, respectively.
Abstract Three new pyrrole alkaloids albifipyrrols A–C ( 1–3 ), were isolated from the endophytic fungus Albifimbria viridis collected Chinese medicinal plant. Their structures elucidated by extensive NMR and HRESIMS spectrometric analyses. All compounds evaluated for immunosuppressive activity. Fortunately, compound 2 exhibits certain inhibition specifically against LPS-induced proliferation of B lymphocyte cells with IC 50 value 16.16 μM. Graphical
Two new seco-sativene sesquiterpenoids, bipolenins D (1) and E (2), a seco-longifolene sesquiterpenoid, bipolenin F (3), together with three known analogues (4–6), were obtained from cultures of endophytic fungus Bipolaris eleusines. Their structures established by MS NMR data. Compounds 1–6 showed no activity to five human cancer cell lines.
To discover new bioactive compounds from nature plants, a primary screening of traditional Chinese medicines had been taken. The results showed that EtOAc extract Sedum sarmentosum displayed certain degree cytotoxic activity and bioassay-directed isolation gave two megastigmanes, (6S,9R)-2-hydroxy-4-(2,6,6-trimethyl-4-oxo-cyclohex-2-enyl)-butyric acid (1) methyl ester (2) together with seven known flavonoids. chemical structures 1 2 were elucidated on the basis detailed 1D, 2D NMR MS data....
Three rare triterpenoids, saponaceolides Q-S (1-3), have been isolated from fruiting bodies of the mushroom Tricholoma terreum. Their structures were characterized based on extensive spectroscopic data. Compound 1 showed certain cytotoxicities against four human tumor cell lines.
Five new isopimarane diterpenes, robustaditerpene A-E (1-5), which include 19-nor-isopimarane skeleton and skeleton, were isolated from the liquid fermentation of endophytic fungus Ilyonectria robusta collected Bletilla striata. The structure elucidation relative configuration assignments all compounds accomplished by interpretation NMR HRESIMS spectrometric analyses 13C calculation. And absolute 1-5 identified single-crystal X-ray diffraction ECD Compound 3 inhibited...
Abstract Two new secondary metabolites, named 7-dehydroxyl-zinniol (1) and 20-hydroxyl-ergosta-4,6,8(14),22-tetraen-3-one (2), were isolated from the culture of Alternaria solani, an endophytic fungal strain residing in roots Aconitum transsectum. Their structures elucidated on basis comprehensive spectroscopic analyses including IR, ESI-MS, HR-ESI-MS, 1D 2D NMR. Biological activity tests indicated that compound 1 showed moderate anti-HBV activity. Keywords: solani transsectum...
Abstract One natural p ‐terphenyl glycoside, gliocladinin C, and two furano‐polyene derivatives, chaetominins A B, were isolated from potato endophytic fungus Chaetomium subaffine . The absolute configurations of these compounds elucidated by HR‐ESI‐MS, NMR, the DP4+ probabilities electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra.
