We demonstrated how the subcycle evolution of electric field light can be used to control motion bound electrons. Results are presented for dissociative ionization deuterium molecules (D2 --> D+ + D), where asymmetric ejection ionic fragment reveals that light-driven intramolecular electronic before dissociation localizes electron on one two ions in a controlled way. The results extend subfemtosecond and provide evidence its usefulness controlling reaction dynamics.

We have developed the first (to our knowledge) femtosecond Tm-fiber-laser-pumped Ho:YAG room-temperature chirped pulse amplifier system delivering scalable multimillijoule, multikilohertz pulses with a bandwidth exceeding 12 nm and average power of 15 W. The recompressed 530 fs are suitable for broadband white light generation in transparent solids, which makes source ideal both pumping seeding optical parametric amplifiers operating mid-IR spectral range.

We demonstrate a four-stage optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification system that delivers carrier-envelope phase-stable ~1.5 μm pulses with energies up to 12.5 mJ before recompression. The is based on fusion of femtosecond diode-pumped solid-state Yb technology and picosecond 100 Nd:YAG pump laser. Pulses 62 nm bandwidth are recompressed 74.4 fs duration close the transform limit. Sub-femtosecond control of the electron emission in above-threshold ionization rare gases Ar, Xe and Kr intense few-cycle laser fields is reported with full angular resolution. Experimental data that were obtained velocity-map imaging technique are compared to simulations using strong-field approximation (SFA) time-dependent Schrödinger equation (TDSE) calculations. We find a pronounced asymmetry both energy distributions critically depends on carrier-envelope phase (CEP) field. The...

Experimental results have been obtained for dissociative ionisation homonuclear heteronuclear hydrogen derivates D2 HD. Asymmetric ejection ionic fragments reveals that light-driven electronic motion prior localises electron on one two ions in diatomic controlled way. Extension these transfer complex molecules suggests new paradigm controlling...

We introduce a method to extract the photoacoustic (PA) signal from phase time evolution of an optical coherence tomography (OCT) swept source spectral sweep. This all-optical detection is achieved in noncontact fashion directly on sample surface by using its specular reflection. High-speed measurement and referencing allow for close shot noise limited phase-sensitive detection. It offers simple way perform OCT PA imaging sharing same system components.

We have experimentally detected optical harmonics that are generated due to a tunneling-ionization-induced modulation of the electron density. The signature tunneling can be isolated from concomitant responses by using noncollinear pump-probe setup. Whereas previously demonstrated tools for attosecond metrology gases, plasmas, and surfaces rely on direct detection charged particles, background-free time-resolved signal, which uniquely originates tunneling, offers an interesting alternative...
