Between April and December 1993, we determined P G genotypes of group A rotavirus strains obtained from children admitted to diarrhea treatment centers in five Indian cities. From a total 63 rotavirus-positive specimens, identified 10 different with four distinct types by using reverse transcription-PCR. The common worldwide G1P8, G2P4, G3P8, G4P8 were underrepresented among (33%), whereas type 6 (G1P6, G2P6, G3P6, G4P6, G9P6), which primarily infect asymptomatic newborns but are rare India...

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role (68)Ga-labeled DOTANOC PET/CT for baseline evaluation patients with head and neck paragangliomas (HNPs).The data 26 (mean age ± SD, 34.3 10.4 y; 50% men) known or suspected HNPs who underwent (68)Ga-DOTANOC staging were retrospectively analyzed. performed after intravenous injection 132-222 MBq (68)Ga-DOTANOC. images evaluated by 2 experienced nuclear medicine physicians in consensus, both qualitatively quantitatively. findings grouped as...

ABSTRACT Background Extranodal extension (ENE) is an important adverse prognostic indicator for head and neck cancers. However, ENE needs further risk stratification in terms of optimum cutoff the extent interaction with clinicopathological factors. Methods Retrospective single‐center study on patients treatment‐naïve cancer final histology indicating ENE. Results Pathological was observed 122 (12.4%). With 2 mm separating Mi‐ENE Ma‐ENE, no difference overall survival (OS) disease‐free (DFS)...

The prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is highly expressed in prostatic cancer. However, PSMA expression also noted various benign and malignant nonprostatic neoplasms the endothelial cells of tumor-associated neovasculature. We performed Ga-PSMA PET/CT a 14-year-old boy with juvenile nasal angiofibroma (JNA) to explore its theranostic potential. scan revealed high uptake lesion. Performance JNA opens up new frontiers respect radiological staging, early recurrence identification,...

Abstract CanAssist Breast (CAB) has thus far been validated on a retrospective cohort of 1123 patients who are mostly Indians. Distant metastasis–free survival (DMFS) more than 95% was observed with significant separation ( P < 0.0001) between low-risk and high-risk groups. In this study, we demonstrate the usefulness CAB in guiding physicians to assess risk cancer recurrence make informed treatment decisions for patients. Of 500 have undergone test, detailed analysis 455 were treated...

My suggestion: There is no difference in survival of breast cancer patients treated with either mastectomy or conservation therapy combined external beam radiotherapy. A positive margin (s) an important factor contributing to the increased risk local recurrence. However, published literature, there a lack consensus on definition acceptable (s). As result decision process about need for re-excision after margins remains uncrear.

Background and Aims: Regional anaesthesia attenuates surgical stress-response, provides superior analgesia, reduces recovery time with early mobilisation is opioid-sparing [addresses post-operative nausea vomiting (PONV), constipation, immunosuppression cancer-progression concerns opioids]. Hence, we studied pectoralis (PECS) blocks for modified radical mastectomy (MRM). Methods: A prospective, interventional, double-blind, randomised, parallel-arm, active-controlled study comparing two...

They the lymphatic drainage pathway gingivo-buccal cancers (GBC), above lower border mandible which forms superior limit conventional neck dissection and thus remain unaddressed. With reported incidence metastasis as high 20.5%, we aimed to explore PMN GBC, its correlation histopathological tumor nodal characteristics. Methods: A prospective study was...

The Milan system reporting salivary gland cytopathology (MSRSGC) standardised which aims to improve risk stratification. There scant literature on the diagnostic value agreement of MSRSGC ROSE with final cytological diagnosis in FNAs.
