Dendrimers are a new class of polymeric materials. They highly branched, monodisperse macromolecules. The structure these materials has great impact on their physical and chemical properties. As result unique behaviour dendrimers suitable for wide range biomedical industrial applications. paper gives concise review dendrimers' physico-chemical properties possible use in various areas research, technology treatment.

Design of dual mode or multimode contrast agents nanoplatforms with antifouling properties is crucial for improved cancer diagnosis since the materials are able to escape clearance reticuloendothelial system pharmacokinetics. Herein, we present creation zwitterionic gadolinium(III) (Gd(III))-complexed dendrimer-entrapped gold nanoparticles (Au DEN) enhanced computed tomography (CT)/magnetic resonance (MR) imaging lung metastasis. In work, poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimers generation 5 were...

The severe side effects of systemic chemotherapy for cervical cancer encourage the use topical intravaginal drug delivery systems. 5-fluorouracil, 5-FU, is an anticancer accepted in clinical therapy colorectal, gastric, and hepatocellular carcinoma. However, it shows low activity against cells (HeLa) thus requires usage additional drugs to support therapy, which associated with effects. We report on polyglycidol/polyacrylamide-based hydrogel carrier providing effective monotherapy cells,...

Abstract Maltose‐modified poly(propylene imine) (PPI) dendrimers were synthesized by reductive amination of unmodified second‐ to fifth‐generation PPI in the presence excess maltose. The characterized using 1 H NMR, 13 C and IR spectroscopies; laser‐induced liquid beam ionization/desorption mass spectrometry; dynamic light scattering analyses; polyelectrolyte titration. Their scaffolds have enhanced molecular rigidity their outer spheres, at which two maltose units are bonded former primary...

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by pathological aggregation of β-amyloid peptides and MAP-Tau protein. β-Amyloid (Aβ) a peptide responsible for extracellular plaque formation. Intracellular aggregates appear as result hyperphosphorylation this cytoskeletal Small, oligomeric forms Aβ are intermediate products that before the amyloid plaques formed. These believed to be most neurotoxic. Dendrimers highly branched polymers, which may find an application in regulation fibril Several...

Abstract Dendrimers are highly branched macromolecules with the potential to be used for biomedical applications. Several dendrimers toxic owing their positively charged surfaces. However, this toxicity can reduced by coating these peripheral cationic groups carbohydrate residues. In study, of three types 4th generation poly (propyleneimine) were investigated in vivo ; uncoated (PPI‐g4) dendrimers, and which 25% or 100% surface amino coated maltotriose (PPI‐g4‐25%m PPI‐g4‐100%m),...

Some biological properties of eight dendrimers incorporating both phosphorus linkages and viologen units within their cascade structure or at the periphery were investigated for first time. In particular cytotoxicity, hemotoxicity, antimicrobial antifungal activity these new macromolecules examined. Even if example all species exhibited good properties, it was demonstrated that behavior strongly depends on several parameters as size molecular weight, number nature terminal groups.

Conjugation of nanocarriers with antibodies that bind to specific membrane receptors are overexpressed in cancer cells enables targeted delivery. In the present study, we developed and synthesised two PAMAM dendrimer-trastuzumab conjugates carried docetaxel or paclitaxel, specifically which HER-2.The 1H NMR, 13C FTIR RP-HPLC were used analyse characteristics products assess their purity. The toxicity PAMAM-trastuzumab, PAMAM-doc-trastuzumab PAMAM-ptx-trastuzumab was determined using MTT...

In order to enhance intracellular uptake and accumulation of therapeutic nucleic acids for improved gene therapy methods, numerous delivery vectors have been elaborated. Based on their origin, carriers are generally classified as viral or non-viral vectors. Due significantly reduced immunogenicity highly optimized methods synthesis, nanoparticles (especially those imitating natural biomolecules) constitute a promising alternative virus-based devices. Thus, we set out develop innovative...

The formation of amyloid plaques is a key pathological event in neurodegenerative disorders, such as prion and Alzheimer's diseases. Dendrimers are considered promising therapeutic agents these disorders. In the present work, we have studied effect polypropyleneimine dendrimers on fibrils function pH order to gain further insight aggregation mechanism its inhibition. Amyloid from peptide PrP 185-208 Aβ 1-28 were produced vitro, their was monitored using dye thioflavin T (ThT). results showed...
