Adolescent major depressive disorder (MDD) is associated with serious adverse implications for brain development and higher rates of self-injury suicide, raising concerns about its neurobiological mechanisms in clinical neuroscience. However, most previous studies regarding the alterations adolescent MDD focused on single-modal images or analyzed different modalities separately, ignoring potential role aberrant interactions between structure function psychopathology.

In this paper, we propose a new steady-state visually evoked potential (SSVEP) brain-computer interface (BCI) with visual stimuli presented on windshield via head-up display, and apply BCI in conjunction an alpha rhythm to control simulated vehicle 14-DOF dynamics model. A linear discriminant analysis classifier is applied detect the rhythm, which used starting stopping of vehicle. In this paper, we propose a new approach of detecting emergency braking intention for brain-controlled vehicles by interpreting electroencephalography (EEG) signals drivers. Regularization linear discriminant analysis with spatial-frequency features is applied to build the detection model. These are selected from powers frequency points across sixteen channels using sequential forward floating search. Experimental results twelve subjects show that on average, proposed method can detect...

Childhood trauma is a leading risk factor for adolescents developing major depressive disorder (MDD); however, the underlying neuroimaging mechanisms remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate association among childhood trauma, MDD and brain dysfunctions by combining static dynamic network models. We recruited 46 first-episode drug-naïve adolescent patients with (MDD-CT), 53 without (MDD-nCT), 90 healthy controls (HCs) resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scans;...

ABSTRACT Tissue fusion frequently requires the removal of an epithelium that intervenes distinct primordia to form one continuous structure. In mammalian secondary palate, a midline epithelial seam (MES) forms between two palatal shelves and must be removed allow mesenchymal confluence. Abundant apoptosis cell extrusion support their importance in MES removal. However, genetically disrupting intrinsic apoptotic regulators BAX BAK within results complete loss death extrusion, but successful...

Depression is a leading cause of disability worldwide. There increasing evidence showing that depression associated with the pathophysiology in amygdala; however, underlying mechanism remains poorly understood. We established rat model chronic social defeat stress (CSDS) and conducted series behavior tests to observe behavioral changes. Serotonin (5-HT) neurotransmission in the brain relies on a widespread axon terminal network originating from hindbrain raphe nuclei. These projections are topographically organized such that dorsal (DR), and median (MnR) nuclei have different targets. However, guidance molecules involved this selective targeting development unknown. Here, we show implication of ephrinA5 signaling process. We find EphA5 gene is selectively expressed subset 5-HT neurons during embryonic postnatal development....
