A methanol extract from the whole plant of Dendrobium formosum Roxb. ex Lindl., Orchidaceae, showed inhibitory potential against α-glucosidase and pancreatic lipase enzymes. Chromatographic separation resulted in isolation twelve phenolic compounds. The structures these compounds were determined through analysis NMR HR-ESI-MS data. All isolates evaluated for their activities, as well glucose uptake stimulatory effect. Among isolates, 5-methoxy-7-hydroxy-9,10-dihydro-1,4-phenanthrenequinone...

Verbascoside and isoverbascoside are two active phenylethanoid glycosides mainly found in plants of the order Lamiales. This study analyzes verbascoside levels total phenolic contents water ethanolic extracts 20 medicinal Lamiales commonly used Thailand. The related bioactivities, including antioxidant activity via 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) ferric reduction potential assays anti-tyrosinase -inflammatory activities cyclooxygenase nitric oxide also investigated. several plant species,

Hairy roots were induced by infecting stems and leaves of Glycyrrhiza inflata with Agrobacterium rhizogenes ATCC 15834. The optimization growth glycyrrhizin accumulation G. infl ata hairy was studied. Sucrose (6%, w/v) optimal for in roots. Effects elicitors like chitosan, methyl jasmonate, yeast extract on production Methyl jasmonate (100 μM) most efficient enhancing up to almost 109 μg/g dry weight day 5 elicitation. These results indicate that application can enhance the capacity produce...

This study outlines a green process for Centella asiatica (L.) Urb. (CA) extraction. Natural deep eutectic solvents (NADESs) and microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) were combined to provide high bioactive compound yield antioxidant activity. Among the NADESs evaluated, combination of acetylcholine chloride : malic acid water (1 2 2): (40 60) was best These conditions madecassoside (MS) (21.7 mg g-1 dry weight) asiaticoside (AS) (12.7 yields, with greater than 80% (v/v) EtOH (13.3 MS 7.80...
