Cost-utility analysis typically relies on preference-based measures (PBMs). While generic PBMs are widely used, disease-specific can capture aspects relevant for certain patient populations. Here the EORTC QLU-C10D, a cancer-specific PBM based QLQ-C30, is validated using Dutch trial data with EQ-5D-3L as comparator measure.
Abstract Background General population normative values for the widely used health-related quality of life (HRQoL) measure, European Organisation Research and Treatment Cancer Quality Life Questionnaire – Core 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30), are available a range countries. These mostly countries in northern Europe. However, there is still lack such southern Therefore, this study aims to provide sex-, age- health condition-specific general Italian EORTC QLQ-C30. Material methods This based on QLQ-C30...
Cost-utility analysis generally requires valid preference-based measures (PBMs) to assess the utility of patient health. While generic PBMs are widely used, disease-specific may capture additional aspects health relevant for certain populations. This study investigates construct and concurrent criterion validity cancer-specific European Organisation Research Treatment Cancer (EORTC) Quality Life Utility-Core 10 dimensions (QLU-C10D) in non-small-cell lung cancer patients. We retrospectively...
Cancer and its treatment can have substantial impact on patients' emotional functioning. Several patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) assessing functioning are available, but differences in content limit the comparability of results. To better understand conceptual (dis)similarities, we conducted a comparison commonly used PROMs.We included items, scales, item banks from EORTC CAT Core, QLQ-C30, FACT-G, Hospital anxiety depression scale (HADS), SF-36, PRO-CTCAE, PROMIS (item for...
Abstract Objectives The Quality of Life (QoL) Utility measure, QLU-C10D, is derived the European Organisation for Research and Treatment Cancer (EORTC) QoL Questionnaire, QLQ-C30. Based on cancer-specific nature, QLU-C10D expected to be sensitive responsive in lung cancer patients. Methods This retrospective analysis used data from four multi-center trials. Clinical validity was assessed comparison a generic standard utility instrument, EuroQoL Group´s EQ-5D-3L. Utilities six country tariffs...
Background: The EORTC QLQ-C15-PAL is a shortened version of the widely used QLQ-C30. This questionnaire was developed to measure symptoms and functional health patients receiving palliative care. Objective: To enhance clinical interpretability QLQ-C15-PAL, our aim evaluate sensitivity specificity thresholds for importance previously QLQ-C30 when applied scales. Design: Cross-sectional observational study. Setting/Subjects: Patients with cancer any type treatment. Measurement: completed...
Abstract Background General population normative values for the widely used health-related quality of life (HRQoL) measure EORTC QLQ-C30 support interpretation trial results and HRQoL patients in clinical practice. Here, we provide sex-, age- health condition-specific French general population. Methods data was collected an international project. Online panels with quota samples were to recruit sex age groups. Number type comorbidities assessed. Descriptive statistics calculate each scale,...
Health economic appraisals often rely on the assessment of health utilities using preference-based measures (PBM). The cancer-specific PBM, European Organisation for Research and Treatment Cancer Quality Life Utility - Core 10 Dimensions (EORTC QLU-C10D), was developed recently, now needs to be validated in various clinical populations.
Abstract Introduction Many health economic evaluations rely on the validity of utility measurement for health-related quality life (HRQoL). While generic measures perform well in HRQoL assessments many diseases and patient populations, appropriateness cancer-specific disease burdens needs attention condition-specific could be a viable option. This study assessed clinical EORTC QLU-C10D, scoring algorithm QLQ-C30, patients with glioblastoma. We expect QLU-C10D to sensitive responsive...

The 10-item Kessler Psychological Distress scale (K10) and its 6-item short-form version (K6) measure psychological distress, particularly anxiety or depressive symptoms. While these questionnaire scales are widely used in various settings populations, general population normative data rarely available. To facilitate the interpretation of K10 K6 scores, we provide from seven European countries. We an online survey to collect samples Austria, Italy, Germany, France, Netherlands, Poland Spain....
ObjectivesThe European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality Life Utility-Core 10 Dimensions (EORTC QLU-C10D) is a cancer-specific preference-based measure, providing health utilities use in economic evaluations derived from the widely used health-related quality life EORTC QLQ-C30. Several QLU-C10D country-specific value sets are available. This article aimed to provide general population utility norms Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom, aid...
