Terpenes are compounds that include monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, diterpenes, and terpenes, where isoprene is the basic structural unit of multiple oxygenated hydrocarbons. often found in plants, especially some Zingiberaceae or tulips, they have been obtained by direct extraction, chemical synthesis, microorganisms. They exhibit anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-oxidant, analgesic activity, aid digestion, other biological activities. widely used as factors food health anti-cancer treatments....

Hsp104 is a ring-forming, ATP-driven molecular machine that recovers functional protein from both stress-denatured and amyloid-forming aggregates. Although shares common architecture with Clp/Hsp100 unfoldases, different seemingly conflicting 3D structures have been reported. Examining the structure of poses considerable challenges because readily hydrolyzes ATP, whereas ATP analogs can be slowly turned over are often contaminated other nucleotide species. Here, we present single-particle...

2,3,5-trimethylpyrazine (TMP), as a volatile heterocyclic nitrogen compound, has wide range of applications. To explore an efficient and environmentally friendly way to produce TMP, Bacillus strains were isolated from Daqu using traditional separation purification methods. The fermentation products detected by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS), the species relationship was analyzed morphological phylogenetic tree construction. Single factors selected optimize process TMP...

Highlights Model can perform pork freshness quality testing under complex lighting. MobileNetV3_E outperforms other state-of-the-art models. achieve an optimal balance between performance and volume. supports deployment on edge devices. Abstract. The accurate appraisal of is influenced by the color meat, which a critical indicator pork’s freshness. However, lighting changes also influence consumers’ perceptions meat color. To address this issue, study recommends detection method based...

<title>Abstract</title> To gain a deeper understanding of the role microorganisms play in shaping quality baijiu, this study comprehensively examined microbial communities and physicochemical characteristics pit mud (PM) sourced from various ages (20, 30, 40, 50 years) distinct spatial layers, as well explored correlations between these factors. Fungal PM had lower diversity richness than prokaryotic microorganisms. Microbial decreased with increasing age at same location. In aged PM, middle...

Summary Carboxymethyl ether moieties were introduced to flaxseed ( Linum usitatissimum L.) gum FG ) by reacting with monochloroacetic acid MCA ). Effects of forming reaction conditions, temperature, Na OH concentration and molar ratio (anhydroxylose equivalent) , on the degree substitution DS investigated. Treatment at 70 °C, 7.0 m 10:1 over 3 h produced a polysaccharide 0.824 ± 0.012. Both surface morphology thermal behaviour modified. Solutions (0.5–4.0%, w/v) exhibited shear‐thinning...

Abstract Rapeseed meal (RSM) is an important source of protein, but its value limited due to the poor digestibility and presence many antinutritional factors. In this study, a two‐step biological method was developed for detoxifying RSM increasing protein value. first stage, various enzymes proteases were produced by Aspergillus niger during solid‐state fermentation (SSF). second coordinated enzymatic hydrolysis employed further degrade factors macromolecular proteins in fermented RSM....

Glycogen-binding subunits for protein phosphatase-1 (PP1) target the PP1 catalytic subunit (PP1C) to glycogen particles, where enzymes synthase and phosphorylase are concentrated. Here we identify sites within striated muscle glycogen-binding (GM) that mediate direct binding synthase. Both PP1C were coimmunoprecipitated with a full-length FLAG-tagged GM transiently expressed in COS7 cells or C2C12 myotubes. Deletion mutational analysis of glutathioneS-transferase (GST) fusion N-terminal...

Abstract Botrytis cinerea is a severe threat in agriculture, as it can infect over 200 different crop species with gray mold affecting food yields and quality. The conventional treatment using fungicides lead to emerging resistance the past decades. Here, we introduce Photodynamic Inactivation (PDI) strategy combat B. infections, independent of fungicide resistance. PDI uses photoactive compounds, which upon illumination create reactive oxygen toxic for killing target organisms. This study...
