SPT-3G is the third survey receiver operating on South Pole Telescope dedicated to high-resolution observations of cosmic microwave background (CMB). Sensitive measurements temperature and polarization anisotropies CMB provide a powerful dataset for constraining cosmology. Additionally, surveys with arcminute-scale resolution are capable detecting galaxy clusters, millimeter-wave bright galaxies, variety transient phenomena. The instrument provides significant improvement in mapping speed...

We report results from an analysis aimed at detecting the trispectrum of kinematic Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (kSZ) effect by combining data South Pole Telescope (SPT) and Herschel-SPIRE experiments over a 100 deg^{2} field. The SPT observations combine previous current surveys, namely SPTpol SPT-3G, to achieve depths 4.5, 3, 16 μK-arcmin in bands centered 95, 150, 220 GHz. For SPIRE, we include 600 857 GHz bands. reconstruct velocity-induced large-scale correlation small-scale kSZ signal with...

We designed, built, and tested a positron emission tomograph (PETT IV) capable of providing seven slices the human body simultaneously. PETT IV utilizes moving hexagonal array 48 scintillation detectors placed around subject. Each detector consists cylindrical activated sodium iodide crystal optically coupled to two photomultiplier tubes. The multislice capability is achieved by comparing light outputs tubes in each detector. images are displayed either as transverse or longitudinal...

Ultralight axionlike particles (ALPs) are compelling dark matter candidates because of their potential to resolve small-scale discrepancies between $\Lambda$CDM predictions and cosmological observations. Axion-photon coupling induces a polarization rotation in linearly polarized photons traveling through an ALP field; thus, as the local field oscillates time, distant static sources will appear oscillate with frequency proportional mass.
