Bubble Chambers provided the dominant particle detection technology in accelerator experiments for several decades, eventually falling into disuse with advent of other techniques. We report here on first period operation an ultra-clean, room-temperature bubble chamber containing 1.5 kg superheated CF$_{3}$I, a target maximally sensitive to spin-dependent and -independent Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP) couplings. An exposure excess 250 kg-days is obtained, live-time fraction...

Sensitive measurements temperature and polarization anisotropies CMB provide a powerful dataset for constraining cosmology. Additionally, surveys with arcminute-scale resolution are capable detecting galaxy clusters, millimeter-wave bright galaxies, variety transient phenomena. The instrument provides significant improvement in mapping speed...
We present a series of measurements based on ${K}_{L,S}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${K}_{L,S}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ decays collected in 1996--1997 by the $\mathrm{KTeV}$ experiment (E832) at Fermilab. compare these four $\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{K}\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\pi}$ decay rates to measure direct $\mathrm{CP}$ violation parameter...
The KTeV/E799 experiment at Fermilab has searched for the rare kaon decay KL→π0e+e− . This mode is expected to have a significant CP violating component. measurement of its branching ratio could support standard model or indicate existence new physics. Letter reports results from 1999–2000 data set. One event observed with an background 0.99±0.35 events. We set limit on 3.5×10−10 90% confidence level. Combining previous result based taken in 1997 yields final KTeV result:...
The Q/U Imaging ExperimenT (QUIET) employs coherent receivers at 43GHz and 95GHz, operating on the Chajnantor plateau in Atacama Desert Chile, to measure anisotropy polarization of CMB. QUIET primarily targets B modes from primordial gravitational waves. combination these frequencies gives sensitivity foreground contributions diffuse Galactic synchrotron radiation. Between 2008 October 2010 December, >10,000hours data were collected, first with 19-element array (3458hours) then 90-element...
The branching ratio of the rare decay ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ has been measured precisely, using complete data set from KTeV E799-II experiment at Fermilab. We observe 794 candidate events ${K}_{L}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}3{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ as a source tagged ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$s. expected background is $52.7\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}11.2$ events, predominantly high ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ mass...
The Q/U Imaging ExperimenT (QUIET) has observed the cosmic microwave background (CMB) at 43 and 95GHz. 43-GHz results have been published in QUIET Collaboration et al. (2011), here we report measurement of CMB polarization power spectra using 95-GHz data. This data set comprises 5337 hours observations recorded by an array 84 polarized coherent receivers with a total sensitivity 87 uK sqrt(s). Four low-foreground fields were observed, covering ~1000 square degrees effective angular...
The Q/U Imaging ExperimenT (QUIET) is designed to measure polarization in the Cosmic Microwave Background, targeting imprint of inflationary gravitational waves at large angular scales (~ 1 degree). Between 2008 October and 2010 December, two independent receiver arrays were deployed sequentially on a 1.4 m side-fed Dragonian telescope. polarimeters which form focal planes use highly compact design based High Electron Mobility Transistors (HEMTs) that provides simultaneous measurements...
The Fermilab KTeV experiment has searched for lepton-flavor-violating decays of the KL meson in three decay modes. We observe no events signal region any modes studied, and we set following upper limits their branching ratios at 90% C.L.: BR(KL→π0μ±e∓)<7.6×10−11; BR(KL→π0π0μ±e∓)<1.7×10−10; BR(π0→μ±e∓)<3.6×10−10. This result represents a factor 82 improvement ratio limit KL→π0μ±e∓ is first reported KL→π0π0μ±e∓.Received 21 November 2007DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.100.131803©2008...
