본 연구는 약리적 활성이 검증된 홍삼에 독자 균주를 이용한 발효기술을 접목시켜 발효 전후의 성분과 항염증, 항산화, 상처 치유 능력의 차이를 분석하였다. 성분 분석 결과 NexGin™ (F)에서 NF보다 높은 함량의 Rg1, Rb1이 검출되었고 Rg3로 전환되면서 진세노사이드 Rg3(R)과 Rg3(S) 모두 더 함량이 검출되었다. 이에 기인하여 (F)가 전반적으로 우수한 항염증효과와 항산화효과를 나타낸 것으로 보인다. 전후 폴리페놀과 플라보노이드 함량은 큰 변화가 없었지만 DPPH 라디컬 소거능을 나타냈다.
