Mass measurements of fission and projectile fragments, produced via $^{238}\mathrm{U}$ $^{124}\mathrm{Xe}$ primary beams, have been performed with the multiple-reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MR-TOF-MS) Fragment Separator (FRS) Ion Catcher a resolving power (FWHM) up to 410 000 an uncertainty down $6\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}8}$. The nuclides were separated in flight fragment separator FRS at 300 1000 MeV/u thermalized cryogenic stopping cell....
Excitation spectra of $^{11}\mathrm{C}$ are measured in the $^{12}\mathrm{C}(p,d)$ reaction near ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ emission threshold. A proton beam extracted from synchrotron SIS-18 at GSI with an incident energy 2.5 GeV impinges on a carbon target. The momenta deuterons emitted 0\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} precisely fragment separator (FRS) operated as spectrometer. In contrast to theoretical predictions possible existence deeply bound...
211Po ions in the ground and isomeric states were produced via 238U projectile fragmentation at 1000 MeV/u. The spatially separated flight from primary beam other reaction products by fragment separator FRS. energy-bunched, slowed-down thermalized a gas-filled cryogenic stopping cell (CSC). They then extracted CSC injected into high-resolution multiple-reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MR-TOF-MS). excitation energy of isomer and, for first time, isomeric-to-ground state ratio...
We explore the effects of nuclear masses on temperature and neutron density conditions required for r-process nucleosynthesis using four mass models augmented by latest atomic evaluation. For each model we derive producing observed abundance peaks at numbers A ~ 80, 130, 195 under waiting-point approximation further determine sets that can best reproduce patterns (r-patterns) inferred solar system in metal-poor stars Milky Way halo. In broad agreement with previous studies, find (1) 80 tend...
Previously unknown isotopes 30Ar and 29Cl have been identified by measurement of the trajectories their in-flight decay products 28S+p+p 28S+p, respectively. The analysis angular correlations fragments provided information on energies structure parent states. ground states were found at 2.25+0.15−0.10 1.8±0.1 MeV above two- one-proton thresholds, lowest in point to a violation isobaric symmetry these unbound nuclei. two-proton has transition region between simultaneous sequential proton...
We present the charge-changing cross sections (CCCS) of 11−15C, 13−17N, and 15,17−18O at around 300 MeV/nucleon on a carbon target, which extends to p-shell isotopes with N<Z for first time. The Glauber model, considers only proton distribution projectile nuclei, underestimates by more than 10%. show that this discrepancy can be resolved considering contribution from charged-particle evaporation process (CPEP) following neutron removal. Using nucleon densities deformed relativistic...
Excitation-energy spectra of $^{11}\mathrm{C}$ nuclei near the ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$-meson production threshold have been measured by missing-mass spectroscopy using $^{12}\mathrm{C}(p,d)$ reaction. A carbon target has irradiated with a 2.5 GeV proton beam supplied synchrotron SIS-18 at GSI to produce bound states in nuclei. Deuterons emitted ${0}^{\ensuremath{\circ}}$ reaction momentum analyzed fragment separator (FRS), used as high-resolution spectrometer. No distinct...
The discovery of Li-rich giant has cast a new challenge for the standard stellar evolution models, and to resolve this issue, number type object been rapidly increased because development worldwide surveys these days. Taking advantage Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope survey, 44 newly giants are reported, which confirmed with high-resolution observations. Based on high signal-to-noise spectra, we derived atmospheric parameters elemental abundances spectral synthesis...
The proton-unbound argon and chlorine isotopes have been studied by measuring trajectories of their decay-in-flight products using a tracking technique with microstrip detectors. proton (1p) two-proton (2p) emission processes detected in the measured angular correlations “heavy-fragment”+p “heavy-fragment”+p+p, respectively. ground states previously unknown Cl30 Cl28 observed for first time, providing 1p-separation energies Sp −0.48(2) −1.60(8), MeV, relevant systematics 1p- 2p-separation...
The most-remote from stability isotope $^{31}$K, which is located four atomic mass units beyond the proton drip line, has been observed. It unbound in respect to three-proton (${3p}$) emission, and its decays have detected flight by measuring trajectories of all decay products using micro-strip detectors. $3p$-emission processes studied means angular correlations $^{28}$S+3$p$ respective vertexes. energies previously-unknown ground excited states $^{31}$K determined. This provides $3p$...
Transitions among different mechanisms of two-proton decay are studied in general. The introduced improved direct-decay model generalizes the semi-analytical models used before and provides flawless phenomenological description three-body correlations $2p$ decays. This is demonstrated by examples low-lying $^{16}$Ne state Different forms transition dynamic shown to be highly probable beyond proton dripline for $s$-$d$ shell nuclei. It that emitters can provide means extraction a width...
Several states of proton-unbound isotopes $^{30}\mathrm{Ar}$ and $^{29}\mathrm{Cl}$ were investigated by measuring their in-flight decay products, $^{28}\mathrm{S}$ + proton proton, respectively. A refined analysis $^{28}\mathrm{S}$-proton angular correlations indicates that the ground state is located at $2.{45}_{\ensuremath{-}0.10}^{+0.05}$ MeV above two-proton emission threshold. The investigation mechanism demonstrates it has transition dynamics. In ``transitional'' region, correlation...
Prospects of experimental studies argon and chlorine isotopes located far beyond the proton dripline are studied by using systematics cluster models. Abstract Two Li-rich candidates, TYC 1338–1410–1 and 2825–596–1, were observed by the new high-resolution echelle spectrograph, LAMOST/HRS. Based on their high-signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) spectra, we derived stellar parameters abundances of 14 important elements for two candidates. The lithium indicate that they are K-type giants, having A(Li) NLTE 1.77 2.91 dex, respectively. Our analysis suggests is probably a red giant branch (RGB) star at bump stage, while 2825–596–1 most likely to be...
