BACKGROUNDAn efficient oocyte cryopreservation method is mandatory to establish a successful egg-banking programme. Although there are increasing reports showing good clinical outcomes after cryopreservation, still lack of large controlled studies evaluating the effectiveness cryo-banking. In this study, we aimed compare outcome vitrified-banked oocytes with gold standard procedure employing fresh oocytes.

Is the indication for fertility preservation (FP) related to success in IVF cycles after elective-FP (EFP) age-related decline and FP before cancer treatment (Onco-FP)?Although rates were lower patients, there was no statistically significant association between malignant disease reproductive outcome correction age controlled-ovarian stimulation (COS) regime.FP is increasingly applied assisted reproduction, but little known about of with vitrified oocytes patients.Retrospective,...

An efficient method for cryopreservation of human oocytes may offer solutions to legal and ethical problems in routine infertility programs also be used fertility preservation medical social reasons. We conducted an observational longitudinal cohort multicentric study investigate the efficacy reproducibility oocyte outcomes IVF/ICSI cycles. Moreover, effects patient cycle characteristics on delivery rate (DR) were analyzed. In 486 cycles performed 450 couples, 2721 warmed 2304 them survived...

What progress has been made in fertility preservation (FP) over the last decade?FP techniques have widely adopted decade and therefore establishment of international registries on their short- long-term outcomes is strongly recommended.FP a fundamental issue for both males females whose future may be compromised. Reproductive capacity seriously affected by age, different medical conditions also treatments, especially those with gonadal toxicity. There general consensus need to provide...

Sperm vitrification (V) is a method for cryopreservation, without the use of conventional cryoprotectants, by plunging sperm suspension directly into liquid nitrogen (LN25).This study aimed to compare new system V with freezing (CF) protocol using fresh spermatozoa as reference (C).Prospective cohort study. A total 47 samples from men attending infertility clinic at Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad Valencia. The solution was 0.3 M trehalose-sucrose and plunged in microdroplets 5-10 lL,...

Abstract Study question Can vitrification and warming procedures be executed efficiently with reduced exposure times to cryopreservation solutions? Summary answer Fast protocols demonstrated efficiency rates similar a standard protocol in all pre-clinical models tested significant reduction execution times. What is known already Vitrification an advanced technique well established protocols. However, these require considerable time workload the daily routine of IVF laboratories. Recent...

This study was carried out, first, to determine the feasibility of postoperative home care for three elective operations and, second, explore introducing as a more economical alternative following surgical procedures: herniorrhaphy, vaginal hysterectomy, and vein stripping. Clinical, environmental, operative, socioeconomic criteria were applied 487 outpatients which 44 pairs selected matched by age, sex, diagnosis, characteristics. Each member pair randomly assigned either hospital or care....

Abstract Study question Could Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (MPA) be a good alternative to gonadotropin-realeasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist in vitrified oocyte donation cycles?
