Results are presented from a search for fractional charges in water variety of natural sources. About 30 000 drops have been measured, comprising 51 \ensuremath{\mu}g and dissolved materials. No evidence charge was seen.

Results are presented from a search for fractional charges on mercury drops. About 1 00 000 drops have been measured, comprising 60 \ensuremath{\mu}g of refined and 115 native mercury. No fractionally charged were observed in this sample.

An experiment was performed to capture fractionally charged particles produced in heavy-ion collisions and concentrate them samples suitable for analysis by various techniques. Two of the so have been searched, with use an automated version Millikan's oil-drop apparatus. The beam $^{56}\mathrm{Fe}$ at 1.9 GeV/nucleon, incident on a lead target. Less than one fractional charge per 1.0\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}${10}^{4}$ Fe-Pb found be produced, and, further assumptions, less...

A succession of Triassic to Jurassic strata occurs in the vicinity Caborca, Mexico, where Antimonio, Río Asunción, and Sierra de Santa Rosa Formations contain a nearly continuous marine section deposited previously reported shallow basin environments. The Formation is known be Early Jurassic, but with an 18 m.y. uncertainty age. Here we establish ages three members as early Sinemurian middle Toarcian. Detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology from set 2334 grains along ammonite zonation used...

A two-cell prototype of the SLD Central Drift Chamber has been tested using CO2-isobutane (92%-8%) at one atmosphere. Average single wire resolution 55 μm was achieved. Charge division tests indicate a for final design π 0.5% length. dE/dx separation - e should be useful up to least 7 GeV/c.

A high-sensitivity experiment was carred out to detect free quarks produced in collisions of 14.5-GeV/nucleon oxygen nuclei with a heavy target at BNL. Secondaries from the were stopped liquid-argon tanks, and charged atoms collected electrostatically on goldcoated electrodes. The gold coatings dissolved small drop mercury, which then tested for San Francisco State University automated Millikan apparatus. No evidence fractional charge found. resulting upper limit is less than...

A middle Hettangian marine gastropod assemblage is reported from the Kenai Peninsula of south-central Alaska supplying new paleontological evidence this group in Lower Jurassic rocks North America. A high-sensitivity experiment was performed to detect free quarks produced in collisions of 800-GeV/c protons with a heavy target at Fermilab. Two quite different, high-concentration methods were used obtain small drop Hg containing any which stopped large amount material. Using new technique, secondaries tanks and the then distilled drops. In second method, liquid-nitrogen tanks, charged atoms collected electrostatically on Au-coated electrodes. The Au coatings dissolved Hg. drops from both...
