Single pion production in the reaction pi /sup +/P yields +/+/ 0/+P at incident kinetic energies of 820, 900, and 1050 Mev was studied. Histograms showing distribution events as a function energy Q rest systems two resuitant pions are presented. Evidence for di-pion resonance with isotopic spin T = 1 575 plus or minus 20 is reported. (L.N.N.)
Magnetic analysis of the alpha-particle groups from deuteron bombardment boron and proton beryllium confirms previous work indicating existence levels in ${\mathrm{Be}}^{9}$ at 2.43 3.04 Mev. The energy edge a broad distribution 1.664-Mev excitation is taken to indicate that it arises three-body reaction; shape indicates influence ${\mathrm{Be}}^{8}$---$n$ interaction.
The properties of a sample 172 charged intermediate vector bosons decaying in the (eνe) channel and 16 neutral (e+e-) are described. Masses, decay widths, angular distributions, production cross-sections given; they shown to be excellent agreement with expectations SU2 ⊗ U1 standard model. A limit is put on number light-neutrino types Nν ⩽ 10 at 90% c.l.
