On a 23 ha urban watershed, 10 km East of Paris, rainwater tanks have been installed on 1/3 the private parcels to prevent stormwater sewer overflows. This paper investigates macroscopic effect harvesting runoff, and thus potential this technique for source control. The analysis is performed using SWMM 5 model, calibrated rainfall- runoff measures from two measurement campaigns, before after equipment. availability data-sets allows authors point out changes in catchment's behaviour. main...

We explore how to address the challenges of adaptation water resources systems under changing conditions by supporting flexible, resilient and low-regret solutions, coupled with on-going monitoring evaluation. This will require improved understanding linkages between biophysical social aspects in order better anticipate possible future co-evolution society. also present a call enhance dialogue foster actions governments, international scientific community, research funding agencies...

Worldwide, eutrophication and cyanobacteria blooms in lakes reservoirs are a great concern for water resources management. Coupling catchment hydrological model lake has been strategy to assess the impact of land use, agricultural practices climate change on quality. However, research mainly focused large lakes, while urban their catchments, especially tropical regions, still poorly studied despite wide range ecosystem services they provide. An integrated modelling approach coupling Storm...

There is growing evidence that changes in the current hydrological behaviour of urbanising catchments are a major source impacts on downstream water bodies. However, flow-rates rarely considered studies urban stormwater management, usually focused extreme flow-rates. We argue taking into account receiving bodies possible with relatively small modifications practices modelling, through use Flow duration curves (FDCs). In this paper, we discuss advantages and requirements FDCs. Then, present...
