Transition-metal nanoparticles are privileged materials in catalysis due to their high specific surface areas and abundance of active catalytic sites. Although many these catalysts quite useful, we only beginning understand the underlying mechanisms. Opening "black box" nanoparticle is essential achieve ultimate goal by design. In this Perspective, highlight recent work addressing topic controlled with bimetallic alloy "designer" adsorbate-stabilized metal nanoparticles.

Abstract Radiotherapy is identified as a crucial treatment for patients with glioblastoma, but recurrence inevitable. The efficacy of radiotherapy severely hampered partially due to the tumor evolution. Growing evidence suggests that proneural glioma stem cells can acquire mesenchymal features coupled increased radioresistance. Thus, better understanding mechanisms underlying subclonal evolution may develop new strategies. Herein, data highlighting positive correlation between accumulation...

Introduction The diagnosis and treatment of ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a difficult task, especially in less developed countries without access to experts. To address this issue, comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) tool was created help diagnose predict the course AS. Methods In retrospective study, dataset 5389 pelvic radiographs (PXRs) from patients treated at single medical center between March 2014 April 2022 used create an ensemble deep learning (DL) model for diagnosing then...

The conventional open decompression surgery for degenerative lumbar lateral recess stenosis (DLLRS) yields definitive therapeutic outcomes; however, it confronts numerous challenges, including extensive surgical trauma and iatrogenic spinal instability. purpose of this study is to investigate the outcomes full-endoscopic DLLRS by an interlaminar approach. A consecutive cohort 275 patients, 148 males 127 females, with average age 64.62 (55-82) years, between July 2021 December 2022, was...

In recent years, the combination treatment of chemotherapy and photothermal therapy (PTT) has emerged as an efficient approach to improve anticancer activity. Here, we combine zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67) CuSe build a multifunctional therapeutic platform (ZIF-67@CuSe@PVP) with chemo-photothermal for cancer treatment. ZIF-67@CuSe@PVP nanoparticles were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning (SEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), X-ray diffraction...

By utilizing the hydrolysis and condensation of methoxysilyl groups, thermo-sensitive organic/inorganic hybrid poly[ N-isopropylacrylamide- co-3-(trimethoxysilyl)propylmethacrylate] [P(NIPAm- co-TMSPMA)] microgels were successfully prepared via two different methods without addition any surfactant. First, obtained by a two-step method; that is, linear copolymer P(NIPAm- co-TMSPMA) was first synthesized free radical copolymerization, aqueous solution then heated above its low critical...

We report on a facile method for fabricating thermosensitive organic/inorganic hybrid hydrogel thin films from cross-linkable hydrid copolymer, poly[ N-isopropylacrylamide- co-3-(trimethoxysilyl)propylmethacrylate] [P(NIPAm- co-TMSPMA)]. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra confirmed the formation of after hydrolysis methoxysilyl groups (Si-O-CH 3) and subsequent condensation silanol (Si-OH). Atomic force microscopy (AFM) images revealed that surface morphology depended supporting...
