A deeper epigenomic understanding of spatial organization cells in human tissues is an important challenge. Here we report the first combined positional analysis transcriptomes and methylomes across three micro-dissected zones (pericentral, intermediate periportal) liver. We identify pronounced anti-correlated transcriptional methylation gradients including a core 271 genes controlling zonated metabolic morphogen networks observe prominent porto-central gradient DNA at binding sites 46...

Abstract Immunosuppression constitutes a significant risk for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). Nevertheless, specific causes of immunosuppression and their relevance incidence, etiology prognosis CAP are insufficiently investigated. We conducted population-based cohort study within statutory health insurance in Germany from 2015 to 2018. was retrieved by ICD-10-GM codes. Episodes were identified coded conditions (hematologic neoplasms, stem cell or organ transplantation, neutropenia, HIV,...

Zonation of liver metabolism and its regulation has been intensely studied in the past but was focused on healthy organ animal models. Major break throughs were accomplished especially using so called omics-techniques. Although cirrhosis become one major problems western world, it not yet achieved to use those methods at this stage disease progression.
