Vascular aging contributes to adverse changes in organ function and is a significant indicator of major cardiac events. Endothelial cells (ECs) participate aging-provoked coronary vascular pathology. Regular exercise associated with preservation arterial humans. However, the molecular basis not well understood. The present study was aimed determine effects on endothelial senescence whether mitochondrial clearance regulator FUN14 domain containing 1 (FUNDC1)-related mitophagy homeostasis were...

The present study investigates the regulation of small ubiquitin‐related modifier‐1 (SUMO‐1) expression in response to hypoxia adult mouse brain and heart. We observed a significant increase SUMO‐1 mRNAs proteins after hypoxic stimulation vivo. Because interacts with various transcription factors, including hypoxia‐inducible factor‐1β (HIF‐1β) vitro, we not only demonstrated that HIF‐1α is increased by heart, but also provided evidence co‐localizes vivo demonstrating co‐expression these two...

Simple and cheap alcohols can promote the direct arylation of unactivated arenes with aryl iodides bromides in presence potassium tert-butoxide. This transition-metal-free aromatic C–H transformation offers a easy practical way to synthesize biaryls under mild conditions.

Rapid, accurate, and real-time measurements of ocean salinity are great importance for a host scientific, commercial, defense applications. We demonstrate highly sensitive, fast-responding fiber-optic sensor that integrates long-period fiber gratings (LPFGs) with ionic strength-responsive hydrogel. The submicron-thick hydrogel was synthesized via layer-by-layer electrostatic assembly partially quaternized poly(4-vinylpyridine) (qP4VP) poly(acrylic acid), followed by chemical cross-linking....

MAGEC2 is a member of melanoma antigen (MAGE) family cancer-testis antigens and associated with tumor relapse metastasis. Here, we investigated the expression in patients breast cancer its clinical effects underlying mechanisms. The levels were compared between 420 invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) 120 situ breast. Correlations clinico-pathologic factors or survival IDC analyzed. In addition, tissues dissected from primary focus matched tumor-invaded axillary lymph nodes analyzed 8 patients....

Excessive generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) induces cellular oxidative stress damage, resulting in mitochondrial dysfunction and subsequent promotion apoptosis. Induction damage through chemo-dynamic therapy within the tumor microenvironment (TME) represents a promising therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment. Herein, folic acid-polyethylene glycol (FA-PEG)-modified MIL-101 NPs loaded with berberine (BER) were constructed to develop nanoplatform based on modulation treatment Oral...

We aimed to study the anti-tumor effects of triptolide on osteosarcoma and related molecular mechanisms. The cell viability, apoptosis portion, tumor size, weight, invasion cells were determined. relative level microRNA-181 in tissues adjacent was determined by quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. target gene microRNA-181a verified luciferase report assay. An unclad, multi-mode single crystal sapphire fiber was used as a platform, and immobilized colloidal Ag nanoparticles (NPs) were enabler, for evanescent-field fiber-optic sensing via surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of Rhodamine 6G (R6G) solution. The dependence the measured intensity on NP coverage density (to maximum 120 particles/μm²) well length 6 cm) investigated. We demonstrate the spectral beam combining of a diode laser stack, which contains three 970nm Mini-Bars along fast-axis direction, in an external cavity. At pump current 60 A, output power 127 W, bandwidth 12 nm and Electro-optical conversion efficiency 48.35% are achieved. The measured qualities after M(2) ≈10.2 slow axis ≈11.5 fast axis. Under maximum injection 75A, more than 159W is quality deteriorated slightly with rising from 60A to but it enough be coupled into 50µm core / 0.22NA fiber.
