Myxofibrosarcoma (MFS) is a highly aggressive malignancy with complex karyotypes and postoperative recurrence tendency, owing to its strong invasiveness. Although systemic chemotherapy considered in patients unresectable MFS, the efficacy of conventional hitherto unclear. Recently, drug screening analysis using large number tumor cell lines has been attempted discover novel therapeutic candidate drugs for common cancers. However, MFS extremely small because low incidence-this hinders...
To clarify the association between skin autofluorescence of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) and clinical outcomes pain in patients with degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM).
The outcomes of unplanned surgery for bone sarcomas have not been frequently discussed. However, it is important to recognize patterns, treatment, and clinical surgeries patients with sarcomas. This multicenter study aimed characterize the who underwent surgeries.Data 43 between 2006 2017 were obtained from 23 hospitals in Japan. These included 18 cases osteosarcoma, 9 Ewing sarcoma, 8 chondrosarcoma, 6 undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma. 28 men 15 women, a mean age 46 years. follow-up...
Patients with dialysis are at high risk of reoperation after lumbar spinal fusion surgery. However, the short-segment (≤2 levels) surgery in this patient group has not been completely investigated. This study aimed to compare between patients and matched controls without dialysis. We retrospectively evaluated 85 who underwent a single institution. Based on current treatment, were divided into non-dialysis groups. compared patients’ characteristics, surgical data, pre- postoperative...
This study aimed to retrospectively analyze the clinical outcomes of patients with pelvic and retroperitoneal bone soft tissue sarcoma (BSTS). Overall, 187 BSTS in pelvis region treated at 19 specialized centers Japan were included. The prognostic factors related overall survival (OS), local control (LC), progression-free (PFS) evaluated. 3-year OS LC rates 71.7% 79.1%, respectively. PFS 166 without any distant metastases time primary tumor diagnosis was 48.6%. Osteosarcoma showed...
