The long noncoding RNA nuclear-enriched abundant transcript 1 (NEAT1) has been reported to be overexpressed in colorectal cancer (CRC). However, its underlying mechanisms the progression of CRC have not well studied. To investigate clinical significance NEAT1, we analyzed expression levels a publicly available dataset and 71 samples from Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center. Functional assays, including CCK8, EdU, colony formation, wound healing, Transwell were used determine oncogenic...
Abstract Background Chemotherapy resistance is a primary reason of ovarian cancer therapy failure; hence it important to investigate the underlying mechanisms chemotherapy and develop novel potential therapeutic targets. Methods RNA sequencing cisplatin‐resistant ‐sensitive (chemoresistant chemosensitive, respectively) organoids was performed, followed by detection expression level fibrillin‐1 (FBN1) in clinical specimens cancer. Subsequently, glucose metabolism, angiogenesis,...
Abstract Prostate cancer (PCa) is an extensive heterogeneous disease with a complex cellular ecosystem in the tumor microenvironment (TME). However, manner which heterogeneity shaped by tumors and stromal cells, or vice versa, remains poorly understood. In this study, single‐cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, bulk ATAC‐sequence are integrated from series of patients PCa healthy controls. A stemness subset club cells marked SOX9 high AR low expression identified, markedly enriched...
The examination of circulating nucleic acids (CNAs) is an emerging noninvasive diagnostic technique. However, it unclear if serum long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) represent a novel marker to detect gastric cancer (GC). In this study, we measured 39 candidate cancer‐associated lncRNAs by reverse transcription and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT‐qPCR) in sera from 110 patients with GC, 106 age‐ sex‐matched healthy subjects 15 peptic ulcer, markers were validated assessed RT‐qPCR....
The influences of oncogenic Ezh2 on the progression and prognosis gastric cancer (GC) underlying mechanisms are still poorly understood. Here, we aimed at investigating clinicopathological significance in GC its function development. expression level was determined by qRT-PCR, immunoblot, immunohistochemistry analysis 156 pairs tissues adjacent normal mucosa tissues. biological functions were assessed vitro vivo functional experiments. Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), luciferase,...
Abstract The aberrant expression of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) has been reported frequently in specific cancers, including high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC). purpose the present study was to explore clinical significance and underlying mechanisms a significantly dysregulated lncRNA (NEAT1) HGSOC. Our results showed that elevated NEAT1 human HGSOC specimens correlated with poor prognosis. Functional experiments demonstrated knockdown prohibited cell proliferation invasion vitro...
The mechanisms whereby hepatic fibrosis develops in chronic liver diseases remain incompletely defined. Here, we sought to examine whether microRNA (miRNA) became dysregulated dimethylnitrosamine-induced rats. Our microarray analysis revealed that the miR-34 family was upregulated along with other miRNAs fibrotic tissues. Six miRNAs, such as rno-miR-878, were downregulated. findings confirmed by RT-PCR assays. Gene ontology further showed many of these involved lipid/fatty acid metabolism....

Resistance to oxaliplatin is a major obstacle for the management of locally advanced and metastatic colon cancer (CC). Although long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play key roles in CC, relationships between lncRNAs resistance have been poorly understood yet.Chemo-sensitive chemo-resistant organoids were established from tissues oxaliplatin-sensitive or -resistant patients. Analysis patient cohort indicated that lnc-RP11-536 K7.3 had potential oncogenic role CC. Further, series functional vitro...
Abstract Background Although programmed cell death‐ligand 1 (PD‐L1) plays a well‐known function in immune checkpoint response by interacting with death‐1 (PD‐1), the cell‐intrinsic role of PD‐L1 tumors is still unclear. Here, we explored molecular regulatory mechanism progression and metastasis ovarian cancer. Methods Immunohistochemistry benign tissues cancer samples was performed, followed migration, invasion, angiogenesis assays PD‐L1‐knockdown cells. Immunoprecipitation, mass...
Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase (FBP1) is a rate-limiting enzyme in gluconeogenesis and an important tumor suppressor human malignancies. Here, we aimed to investigate the expression profile of FBP1 ovarian cancer, molecular mechanisms that regulate examine how regulatory axis contributes tumorigenesis progression cancer. We showed was significantly decreased cancer tissues compared with normal tissues, low-FBP1 predicted poor prognosis patients The enhanced cell lines suppressed proliferation...
Background The Food and Drug Administration has approved the Serine/threonine-protein kinase B-raf (BRAF) inhibitor Mitogen-activated extracellular signal-regulated (MEK) combo as first-line treatment for individuals with metastatic melanoma, although majority of these patients exhibit primary or secondary drug resistance in clinic. Dihydrotanshinone I (DHT) is a lipophilic compound extracted from root Salvia miltiorrhiza that been linked to multiple antitumor activities. In this study, we...
Abstract Collagen triple helix repeat containing (CTHRC1), which was identified as a cancer‐related factor, is promigratory protein involved in multiple processes, including vascular remodeling, antifibrosis, metabolism, bone formation, and cancer. In this study, we aimed to investigate the clinical significance possible role of CTHRC1 process epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) colorectal cancer (CRC). Here, revealed that mRNA levels are both upregulated CRC tissues compared with those...
Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) accounts for 12-20% of all cancers. Diagnosis TNBC is sometimes quite difficult based on morphological assessment and immunohistochemistry alone, particularly in the metastatic setting with no prior history cancer. Methods: Molecular profiling a promising diagnostic approach that has potential to provide an objective classification tumors unknown primary. In this study, performance novel 90-gene expression signature determination site tumor...
