Abstract Objectives To compare topical imiquimod with CO 2 laser therapy for the treatment of a first episode vulvar high‐grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (vHSIL), to identify serious adverse effects both modalities, and examine risk factors failure. Methods This retrospective chart‐based cohort study included 47 patients initially treated or between 2017 2021. The primary outcome was failure, defined as need repeat treatment. Cumulative incidence curves were used probability failure...
IntroductionMinimal change disease (MCD) and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) are related podocytopathies with distinct kidney outcomes. Surprisingly, elevated urinary activation fragments have been found in FSGS despite little complement deposition on immunofluorescence staining. Whether distinguishes from MCD, participating the development of lesions, remains unknown.MethodsWe performed an observational study subjects MCD FSGS, proteinuria ≥ 1 g/g creatinine. We included both...
We studied retrospectively 90 Chiari osteotomies in 83 adults with pain, hip dysplasia and arthrosis. At follow-up after 6 (2-15) years, 35 hips were pain-free, 38 had rare or slight 17 moderate severe pain. The dysplastic acetabulum was corrected all but 5 cases. There diminution of arthrosis 36 hips, no change 38, worsening 16 hips. Functional outcome best when surgery performed before the age 40, greatest degree dysplasia. However, two thirds patients aged over 40 years at a good result.
Aggressive pelvic angiomyxoma is a very rare mesenchymal tumor that usually diagnosed in premenopausal female patients. The current mainly reported treatment wide surgical excision. Other options, such as radiotherapy and hormonal therapy, have been suggested potential alternatives. A 61-year-old postmenopausal patient presented with hematuria led to the identification of perirectal mass on abdominopelvic imaging. 46-year-old perineal unknown etiology. Despite extensive investigations,...
