A series of α-Al2O3-supported Ni catalysts with different particle sizes (5–10, 10–20, and 20–35 nm) were prepared applied in the CO methanation reaction for production synthetic natural gas (SNG). The catalytic tests showed that nanoparticles influenced performance methanation, catalyst a nanoparticle size 10–20 nm highest conversion, CH4 yield, turnover frequency, lowest carbon deposition, demonstrating possibility improving Ni/α-Al2O3 SNG by controlling their size.
