Immunoglobin G (IgG) 4-related sclerosing pancreatitis and cholangitis (autoimmune pancreato-cholangitis [AIPC]) are recently recognized disease entities characterized by high serum IgG4 concentrations inflammation with numerous IgG4-positive plasma cells, although the underlining immune mechanism remains only speculative. In this study, immunopathogenesis of AIPC was examined respect to production cytokines in situ possible involvement regulatory T cells (Tregs) using fresh (5 cases)...
Outwardly rectifying K+ currents in freshly isolated bovine retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells were characterized using the whole cell and perforated-patch configurations of patch-clamp technique. All exhibited a delayed rectifier type current. This current had an activation threshold voltage approximately -40 mV, activated with sigmoidal trajectory, inactivated completely over period several seconds. External tetraethylammonium (TEA) was effective blocker [apparent dissociation constant...
The most frequent ocular adnexal tumors and simulating lesions are lymphoproliferative disorders (LPDs), including malignant lymphomas orbital inflammation with lymphoid hyperplasia or infiltration. IgG4-related (IgG4-ROI) often involves lacrimal glands other tissues is an important differential diagnosis. present study evaluated clinical aspects of IgG4-ROI in a case series LPD. Sixty-two consecutive cases LPD, pathologically diagnosed from November, 2004, through March, 2011, were...
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) has recently been shown to be involved in the pathogenesis of proliferative diabetic retinopathy. However, its involvement development early phase retinopathy is not fully understood. In this study we investigated retinal VEGF mRNA level spontaneously Otsuka Long-Evans Tokushima fatty (OLETF) rats, a model non-insulin-dependent diabetes, without overt retinopathy, using quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction. The was 2.2 times...
Mikulicz's disease (MD) is gaining acceptance as an immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related characterized by bilateral lacrimal and salivary gland swelling. The aetiology of MD other IgG4-related diseases still unclear. present work was performed to study the clonality infiltrating IgG4-positive plasma cells in glands circulating peripheral blood patients with MD, compare clonal relationship between IgG4 positive cells. Total cellular RNA extracted from five patients. Reverse transcription...
We describe a 64-year-old woman with chronic sclerosing sialadenitis and dacryoadenitis, which developed during treatment for cervical lymph node tuberculosis. Anti-tuberculosis did not improve the swelling in lacrimal submandibular glands, biopsy specimen of gland showed inflammation, abundant lymphoid follicles fibrosis granuloma without caseous necrosis. Immunohistological examination repeat immunoglobulin (Ig) G4-positive plasma cell infiltration. Corticosteroid therapy improved salivary...

A tenosynovial giant cell tumor (T-GCT) is a benign synovial arising from the synovium, bursae, or tendon sheath. It can be intra- extra-articular and localized diffuse. Diffuse T-GCT considered as locally aggressive. Positron emission tomography (PET) with fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose computed (FDG PET/CT) widely used to differentiate malignant tumors detect distant metastasis. However, FDG PET/CT limited by false-positive findings. In this study, we present two cases of that developed in...
Vasoactive effects of cimicifugic acids A-E, fukinolic acid and fukiic isolated from Cimicifuga plants were investigated using rat aortic strips. Cimicifugic D at 3×10-4M caused a sustained, slowly developing relaxation strips precontracted with norepinephrine (NE) in preparations or without endothelium. C inversely weak contraction. A, B E showed no vasoactivity 3×10-4 M. A-E are esters between cinnamic the hydroxyl group benzyltartaric acids. For manifestation aorta, it is concluded that...
Currents in freshly dissociated adult human retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells were studied using the perforated patch-clamp technique. The zero-current potential (V0) averaged -48.9 +/- 7.7 mV (n = 50). Depolarizing voltage pulses from -70 evoked an outward current that activated with first-order kinetics and did not inactivate during prolonged depolarizations. Repolarizing membrane produced tail currents reversed near K+ equilibrium potential, indicating sustained was carried mainly by...
The absolute stereostructues of cimicifugoside (1) and actein (2) from Cimicifuga simplex were established by X-ray crystal analysis 26(S)-O-methylcimicifugenin A (1cS) prepared 1, negative CD curves 26-O-methyl-3-keto-cimicifugenins (1dS, 1dR), comparative 1H- 13C-NMR spectra 2 their derivatives, preparation 1 hydrogenation : 20(R), 23(R), 24(R), 25(S), 26(R, S)-16β 23; 23 26; 24 25-triepoxy-12β-acetoxy-3β, 26-dihydroxy-9, 19-cyclolanost-7-ene 3-O-β-D-xylopyranoside for 19-cyclolanostane 2.
Three new fukiic acid esters, cimicifugic acids A (1), B (2), and C (3), were isolated along with fukinolic (4), (5), caffeic (6), ferulic (7), isoferulic (8), 3, 4-dimethoxycinnamic (9) p-coumaric (10) from Cimicifuga simplex. Their structures identified as 2-feruloyl, 2-isoferuloyl, 2-p-coumaroyl (1-3) on the basis of spectroscopic chemical data.
Inwardly rectifying K + current ( I Kir ) in freshly isolated bovine retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells was studied the whole cell recording configuration of patch-clamp technique. When were dialyzed with pipette solution containing no ATP, ran down completely <10 min [half time t 1/2 = 1.9 min]. In contrast, dialysis 2 mM ATP sustained for 10 or more. Rundown also prevented 4 GTP ADP. 0.5 used, by ∼71%. Mg 2+ a critical cofactor because rundown occurred when contained but 1.8 min)....
We describe a 67-year-old man with immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) presenting optic neuropathy, dacryoadenitis, periaortitis, retroperitoneal fibrosis, and gastric mass-like lesion. A lesion measuring 52 × 40 mm in the antrum of stomach was found incidentally through whole-body screening for other organ involvement IgG4-RD using contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT). Histology revealed that also IgG4-related located submucosal layer extending to subserosal region. This case...
A new cyclolanostanol xylodde, cimiaceroside A, was isolated from Cimicifuga acerina (Miyagi) and Actaea asidicq another, B, C. simplex (Oki) respectively. The absolute stereostructures of cimiacerosides B were determined as 20(S),22(R),23(S),24(R)-16 p :23;22:25-diepoxy-3 /3,23,24-trihydroxy-9,19-cyclolanost-7-ene-3-0-p -Dxylopyranoside / 3 /3,23, 24-trihydroxy-9,19-~yclolanostane-3-O-, -D-xylopyranoside on the basis chemical spectral data, with aid a version Mosher's method We previously...
In a 48-year-old male patient, well-circumscribed, round tumor in the lacrimal fossa was detected by CT. During total excision of tumor, wall ruptured, resulting leakage fluid contents. The formed cyst that contained residual yellowish fluid. Histologically, included an adenocarcinomatous component and focus pleomorphic adenoma. diagnosed as carcinoma ex adenoma gland. cells showed positive immunoreactivity for androgen receptor BRST-2, indicating equivalent to salivary duct carcinoma....
