Electrical stimulation (ES)-triggered up-regulation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and neurite outgrowth in cultured rat postnatal dorsal root ganglion neurons (DRGNs) is calcium (Ca2+)-dependent. The effects increased Ca2+ on BDNF remain unclear. We showed here that ES phosphorylation the cAMP-response element binding protein (CREB). Blockade suppressed CREB outgrowth. Down-regulation phosphorylated (p)-CREB reduced transcription triggered by ES. Furthermore, blockade...

Aim: This study aimed to report the efficacy and safety of trans -arterial chemoembolization (TACE) plus lenvatinib camrelizumab in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: retrospective enrolled 22 HCC from March 2018 December 2019. All received comprehensive treatment TACE followed by camrelizumab. Overall survival (OS) progression-free (PFS) were calculated analysed using Kaplan-Meier method log-rank test. Treatment response adverse events (AEs) also evaluated....

Spinal cord injury (SCI) affects more than 2.5 million people worldwide. edema plays critical roles in the pathological progression of SCI. This study aimed to delineate aquaporin 4 (AQP4) and Na+-K+-Cl- cotransporter 1 (NKCC1) acute phase tissue destruction after SCI explore whether inhibiting both AQP4 NKCC1 could improve SCI-induced spinal damage. Rat model was established by modified Allen's method. water content, cerebrospinal fluid lactose dehydrogenase (LDH) activity, expression,...

To report the effect of pregnancy on patients who have undergone pelvic vein embolization with congestion syndrome, which was suspected to be only cause infertility.Data from a total 12 women (mean age: 36.5 ± 4.3 years, range: 29-45 years) were collected between May 2013 and June 2016. Transvenous fibre platinum coils combined anhydrous alcohol performed in unilateral or bilateral ovarian veins after diagnosis venous varices confirmed by transvaginal ultrasound venography. The follow-up...

Abstract Purpose To evaluate the method and effectiveness of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with simultaneous DynaCT-guided Microwave ablation (MWA) for treatment small hepatocellular carcinoma (SHCC). Materials methods From June 2015 to May 2017, a total 28 consecutive patients SHCC received single TACE 23 subjects combination MWA. Following 1 month treatment, tumor response was assessed using mRECIST criteria outcomes were analyzed including...

CalliSpheres® microspheres (CSM) are the first drug-eluting beads (DEB) developed in China. This study aimed to compare treatment response, survival, and safety profiles between DEB transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) with CSM conventional TACE (cTACE) huge hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients.A total of 71 patients HCC who underwent DEB-TACE or cTACE were consecutively enrolled this retrospective cohort study. Treatment response was assessed at month (M1), third (M3), sixth (M6)...

Adult rats were used to identify the effects of infrasound on neurogenesis in hippocampal dentate gyrus. After 7 consecutive days' exposure 16 Hz at 130 dB, immunostaining 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine (BrdU) and doublecortin (DCX) was preformed. Compared with those normal groups, numbers BrdU+ DCX+/BrdU+ cells subgranular zone groups significantly decreased 3, 6, 10 14 days returned 18 days. The percentage that co-labeled DCX showed no significant differences between groups. These data suggest...
