Background Complete blood count (CBC) reference intervals are important to diagnose diseases, screen donors, and assess overall health. However, current established by older instruments technologies those from American European populations not suitable for Chinese samples due ethnic, dietary, lifestyle differences. The aim of this multicenter collaborative study was establish CBC healthy Han adults. Methods A total 4,642 individuals (2,136 males 2,506 females) were recruited six clinical...

Background Reference intervals (RIs) play an important role in clinical decision-making. However, due to the time, labor, and financial costs involved establishing RIs using direct means, use of indirect methods, based on big data previously obtained from laboratories, is getting increasing attention. Different techniques combined with different transformation methods outlier removal might cause differences calculation RIs. there are few systematic evaluations this. Objective This study used...

Background Currently there are no reference intervals (RIs) of sodium (Na), potassium (K), and chlorine (Cl) on Chinese population. Two kinds ion‐selective electrode (ISE) methods were commonly used to determine K, Na, Cl levels in China, the difference between these two needs be evaluated. Methods A total 4,524 healthy participants (1,916 males 2,608 females) 20–79 years old from six cities China selected by strict criteria. Abstract Background There is no common consensus on how to define the reference population for determination of high‐sensitivity cardiac troponin (hs‐cTn) upper limit (URL). This study aimed establish 99th percentile URLs hs‐cTnT under both 2018 AACC/IFCC criteria and improved selection further judging whether two are different. Methods Applying stratified cluster sampling protocol, this took 1848 apparently healthy subjects in communities Shenyang China as screening objects. We first...

To further understand the ligation mechanism, effects of 2'-O-methyl nucleotide (2'-OMeN) on T4 DNA efficiency were investigated. Fluorescence resonance energy transfer assay was used to monitor nick-joining process by ligase. Results showed that substitutions at 5'- and 3'-ends nick decreased 48.7% ± 6.7% 70.6% 4.0%, respectively. Substitutions both 76.6% 1.3%. Corresponding kinetic parameters, Vmax, Km, kcat, have been determined in each case using Michaelis-Menten equation. The data...

Abstract Mitosis promoting factor (MPF) plays a central role during the first mitosis of mouse embryo. We demonstrated that MPF activity increased when one‐cell stage embryo initiated G2/M transition following decrease cyclic adenosine 3′, 5′‐monophosphate (cAMP) and cAMP‐dependent protein kinase (PKA) activity. When cAMP PKA increases again, decreases starts metaphase–anaphase transition. In downstream cAMP/PKA, there are some effectors such as polo‐like 1 (Plk1), Cdc25, Mos...
