Abstract Background The clinical outcome of a new fixation device (femoral neck system, FNS) for femoral fractures remains unclear. main purpose this study was to evaluate two different internal methods the treatment in patients aged under 60 years. Methods We retrospectively studied who underwent surgery our hospital between January 2017 and 2020. Cannulated compression screws (CCS) FNS groups were divided according methods. General data (such as sex, age, body mass index, type fracture)...

Abstract The pan-genome consists of core genes shared by all members a taxonomy and accessory found in only subset, holding the keys to advancing our understanding evolution tackling medical challenges. Here, we discovered strong intra-genomic correlation among bacterial within each Escherichia coli , Listeria monocytogenes Staphylococcus aureus Campylobacter jejuni . With convolutional neural network assisted genome knock-out simulation, that different combinations fewer than 20 highly...

The objectives of our study were to evaluate (1) patellar height changes when the knee axis correction was < 15 degrees and (2) clinical effect after open wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO). Sixty-nine patients (69 knees) undergoing OWHTO between January 2016 June 2017 enrolled in this prospective study. All underwent using a three-dimensional (3D)-printed patient-specific instrument. We used X-ray lower-limb computed tomography scan measure angle, height, other patellofemoral joint...

Abstract Background The use of Oxford Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty (UKA) has increased rapidly in both Western and Asian populations, with excellent functional outcomes high patient satisfaction. While previous evidence regarding clinical survival rates after UKA was based on studies the results may be different patients. relevance age for postoperative function also remains unclear. Hence, aim our study to clarify effectiveness safety patients aged over 80 years. Methods A...

Introduction Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) is one of the most effective surgical procedures for treating isolated medial compartment osteoarthritis. However, previous studies have regarded patellofemoral osteoarthritis as a contraindication UKA. In contrast, current research shows that damage to articular cartilage joint, even extent full-thickness loss, has no influence on outcome Methods and analysis Study settings: This study prospective cohort will compare Forgotten Joint...

Abstract Background Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the most common complication and leading cause of death in patients with chronic kidney (CKD). Accelerated atherosclerosis a pathophysiological process that vital to occurrence cardiovascular complications associated CKD. When frequency rises to mmW or even THz, the loss in passive circuit becomes a critical factor. Traditional design methodology has pre-determined topology. The proposed method uses genetic algorithm optimize cross multiple topology find proper broadband matching circuit. This work illustrates proof of concept that using algorithms on microwave is beneficial. We plan extend more sophisticated designs, including active components.
