The surge of patients in the pandemic COVID-19 caused by novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 may overwhelm medical systems many countries. Mask-wearing and handwashing can slow spread virus, but currently, masks are shortage countries, timely is often impossible. In this study, efficacy three types instant hand wiping was evaluated using avian influenza virus to mock coronavirus. Virus quantification performed real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. Previous studies on...
Summary Cotton ( Gossypium hirsutum ) fibers are the highly elongated and thickened single‐cell trichomes on seed epidermis. However, little is known about molecular base of fiber cell wall thickening in detail. In this study, a cotton NAC transcription factor (GhFSN1) that specifically expressed secondary (SCW) was functionally characterized. The GhFSN1 transgenic plants were generated to study how FSN1 regulates SCW formation. Up‐regulation expression resulted an increase thickness but...
The coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic caused by the novel SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome 2) has claimed many lives worldwide. Wearing medical masks (MMs) or N95 ([N95Ms] namely respirators) can slow virus spread and reduce infection risk. Reuse of these minimize waste, protect environment, help solve current imminent shortage masks. Disinfection used is needed for their reuse with safety, but improper decontamination damage blocking structure In this study, we demonstrated...
ABSTRACT We report the presence of mcr-1 in Escherichia coli and carbapenem-resistant Cronobacter sakazakii from same diseased chicken. The gene linked with IS Apl1 was located on two different IncI2 plasmids, including one multidrug plasmid E. , whereas fosA3-bla NDM-9 an IncB/O C. . development resistance region mediated by 26 colocation or bla other genes will accelerate dissemination genes.
Abstract N-glycosylations can regulate the adhesive function of integrins. Great variations in both number and distribution N-glycosylation sites are found 18 α 8 β integrin subunits. Crystal structures IIb 3 V have resolved precise structural location each N-glycan site, but consequences individual site on activation remain unclear. By site-directed mutagenesis structure-guided analyses, we dissected activation. We that -N320 at headpiece leg domain interface positively regulates not The...
This study investigated the characteristics of Escherichia coli isolates carrying mcr-1-blaNDM from a chicken farm in China. Of 78 E. isolates, 21 clonally unrelated carried Diverse IncI2 plasmids disseminated mcr-1, while dissemination blaNDM was mediated by diverse IncB/O plasmids. More striking colocalization resistance genes mcr-1 and blaNDM-4 an IncHI2/ST3 plasmid, which might pose great challenge for public health.
Senecavirus A (SVA), also known as Seneca Valley virus, is an emerging virus that causes vesicular disease in pigs. This belongs to the genus family Picornaviridae. The SVA CH-LX-01-2016 was isolated from Guangdong Province of China 2016. In this study, a recombinant constructed using reverse genetics, and proven be able express efficiently enhanced green fluorescent protein (eGFP) vitro. eGFP-tagged (rSVA-eGFP) exhibited high capacity for viral replication. Its fluorescence-tracked...
To investigate the impact of COVID-19 infection on maternal and neonatal outcomes immunity in pregnant women China. 283 with were included prospective observational cohort study divided into five groups based stage. Antibody levels measured plasma, umbilical cord blood, breast milk, combined clinical data 6-month follow-up results. We SARS-CoV-2 antibody using a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzed Kruskal-Wallis test, χ2 or Fisher's exact test. No significant differences found age, BMI,...
Tanshinone IIA protected against lipopolysaccharide-induced brain injury through the protective effect of blood-brain barrier and suppression oxidant stress inflammatory response.
