Four Vietnamese infants who survived infection with Salmonella meningitis are reported. A female infant experienced relapse recovered without complications and another had neurological sequellae. The remaining 2 complications. initial treatment was chloramphenicol ceftriaxone, whereas a change of antibiotics to imipenem fluoroquinolone required for infants. Fluoroquinolone may be option in patients experience even though the drug is contraindicated pediatric age group.
Positron emission tomography combined with computed (PET/CT) is a promising diagnostic procedure for the detection of extramedullary disease (EMD) in acute myeloid leukemia. We studied 2 children leukemia who underwent PET to assess EMD at diagnosis as well remission. detected 5 lesions cases PET, only which were detectable on clinical examination. 毎週約6, 000匹のマウスを生産するコロニー由来のマウスについて既往反応によるMHVCF抗体の検索をした。退役種親マウスについて毎月検索を実施した。はじめて抗体が検出される前に, 離乳率の低下が観察されたが, 退役種親マウスの陽性率の上昇に伴い回復した。その後3年余にわたり, 退役種親マウスには毎月抗体が証明され, その陽性率ならびに抗体価は7～8ケ月の周期性を示し変動した。たまたま退役マウスの陽性率が比較的高い時期に離乳したマウスは, 3～4週令では抗体陰性であったが, そのまま汚染コロニーで飼育されたものは5～6週令で21～26%が陽性であった。また, 3～4週令でMHV汚染のない環境に隔離飼育されたものでも後には抗体が検出された。しかしながら, MHVの自然感染を耐過したマウスを妊娠させ, 出産直前にMHV汚染のない環境に隔離したところ, その仔には6～10週令で抗体は検出されなかったが, 汚染環境に出された対照群には証明された。ところで, 退役種親マウスの陽性率が比較的高い時期に離乳したマウスの陽性率は8～14週令になっても50%を越えることはなかったが,...

マウス肝炎ウイルス (MHV) 汚染コロニー由来退役種親マウスについて, CF抗体を, 通常法と既往反応を利用した方法 (AR法) により検索した。通常法では37/279 (13%) の抗体検出率であったが, AR法では141/277 (51%) であった。一方, 非汚染コロニー由来マウスについては, AR法で2153匹中1例も抗体は検出されなかった。また, 抗体陽性率や抗体価の推移からコロニーにおけるウイルスの動態をより適確に把握するためには, AR法はきわめて有用であると思われた。既往反応を惹起するには, 4CF単位の抗原0.1mlをマウスに腹腔内接種し, 5～6日後に採血するのが適当と考えられた。

どのような因子が青年期アレルギー性疾患の遷延に影響するかを調べることを目的に，大学生および開業医に通院中の青年期のアレルギー性鼻炎に対してアンケート調査を行った。アンケート内容は，年齢，性別，アレルギー疾患の現病・既往の有無，それらの発症時期と症状消失時期，家族歴，アレルギー症状による日常生活への影響度合いについてのVASスケールである。分析対象となったのは，一般大学生233名とアレルギー性鼻炎患者95名。結果，分析対象となった大学生のうち，アレルギー性鼻炎（AR）の症状があったのは40.3%，アトピー性皮膚炎（AD）14.2%，喘息（BA）5.6%であった。発症年齢は，AD，BA，ARの順であり，ARが最も発症が遅く大学生，通院患者ともに11歳代であった。ARでは，罹患した90%以上が大学生になっても症状を有していた。さらに，アレルギー疾患に伴う症状による日常生活への影響度合いについては，ARの単独罹患よりも，他のアレルギー疾患を合併している方が大きかった。以上より，アレルギー性鼻炎は大学生，通院患者を問わず小学校高学年が好発年齢であり，発症すると完治することは難しく，その症状...
