Using a combination of photostimulated desorption and resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization methods, the behaviors OH radicals on surface interstellar ice analog was monitored at temperatures between 54 80 K. The number density ultraviolet (UV)-irradiated compact amorphous solid water gradually decreased above 60 Analyzing temperature dependence intensities with Arrhenius equation, decrease can be explained by recombination two radicals, which is rate-limited thermal diffusion OH....

Using a combination of photostimulated desorption and resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization techniques, OH radicals photodesorbed from amorphous solid water at low temperatures are detected. It was found that the photodesorption can be caused by one-photon process on surface even 532 nm, where both isolated ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}\mathrm{O}$ transparent. Quantum chemical calculations reveal electronic excitation dramatically changes depending adsorption sites number surrounding molecules,...

Social cognition is strongly linked to social functioning outcomes, making it a promising treatment target. Because measures tend be sensitive linguistic and cultural differences, existing should evaluated based on their relevance for Japanese populations. We aimed establish an expert consensus the use of in populations provide grounds clinical future development. assembled panel experts fields schizophrenia, psychology, neuroscience, developmental disorders. The brief negative symptoms scale (BNSS) is a concise instrument used to assess of subjects with schizophrenia covering five domains and suitable for use in clinical, experimental, epidemiological settings. original translated version BNSS has thus far been shown have adequate psychometric properties. This study aimed examine internal consistency, inter-rater test-retest reliability, discriminant convergent validity, factor structure the Japanese BNSS.The assessment was performed by 11...

Although the Japanese diet is believed to be balanced and healthy, its benefits have been poorly investigated, especially in terms of effects on mental health. We investigated dietary patterns physical health population using an epidemiological survey determine traditional diet. Questionnaires assess habits, quality life, sleep quality, impulsivity, depression severity were distributed 550 randomly selected middle-aged elderly individuals. Participants with any or disease excluded....

Several studies indicate that dietary habits are associated with mental health. We interested in identifying not a specific single nutrient/food group but the population preferring food combinations can be related to Very few have examined relationships between patterns and multifaceted states using cluster analysis. The purpose of this study was investigate population-level state focused on depressive state, sleep quality, subjective well-being, impulsive behaviors rating scales. Two...

In schizophrenia, social cognitive impairment is considered one of the greatest obstacles to participation. Although numerous measures have been developed assess cognition, only a limited number them become available in Japan. We are therefore planning this evaluation study for cognition Japan (ESCoM) confirm their psychometric characteristics and promote research focused on cognition. Participants cross-sectional observational will be 140 patients with schizophrenia recruited from three...

There are benefits of exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation (CR) in patients with heart failure (HF), but their underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. The effect CR on the expression profile circulating microRNAs (miRNAs), which short noncoding RNAs that regulate posttranscriptional target genes, is unknown. If miRNAs respond to changes following for HF, then serum profiling may reveal cardioprotective CR.This study enrolled three hospitalized progressed systolic HF and normal...

Impulsivity dictates individual decision-making behavior. Therefore, it can reflect consumption behavior and risk of addiction thus underlies social activities as well. Neuroscience has been applied to explain activities; however, the brain function controlling impulsivity remained unclear. It is known that related time perception, i.e., a person who perceives certain physical being longer impulsive. Here we show activity left auditory cortex impulsivity. Individual was evaluated by...

MicroRNAs (miRNA) are functional RNAs that have emerged as pivotal gene expression regulators in cardiac disease. Although several cardiomyocyte miRNAs been reported to play roles heart failure progression among patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), the role of circulating has not yet well-examined.After total RNA extraction from peripheral blood samples three control participants and six DCM, miRNA profiling was performed using arrays. Based on results this initial...
