본 연구는 어린이집 원장의 보육교사 디지털역량에 대한 인식이 어떠한지를 살펴보기 위해 메타포 분석 방법을 통해 실시되었다. 이를 설정한 연구문제는 첫째, 인식 의 표현은 어떠한가?, 둘째, 원장 인식의 유형은 어떠한가? 이다. 연구를 서울, 경기, 인천 지역 어린이집에 재직 중인 149명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였 다. 수집한 자료의 분석은 체계적 분석을 바탕으로 표현을 범주화한 후 통계 실시하였다. 원장이 인식하는 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 3개의 대분류로 '보육교사 필수역량', '원장도 갖추어야 할 역량' '과유불급 역량'으로 나타났으며, 6개의 내용 '미래인재역 량', '보육현장의 변화 시급', '시범자로서의 역할' '세대 차이 극복', '양날의 검 역량', '보육의 본질과 디지털 역량의 조화'로 나타났다. 나타난 결과가 보육교사의 전문적 자질로서 디지털역량이 매우 필요하 며 지원하기 방안 마련에 중요한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
