Most cervical cancers are caused by human papilloma virus (HPV), and HPV circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) may identify patients at highest risk of relapse. Our pilot study using digital polymerase chain reaction (dPCR) showed that detectable ctDNA the end chemoradiation (CRT) is associated with inferior progression-free survival (PFS) a next-generation sequencing approach (HPV-seq) outperform dPCR. We aimed to prospectively validate as tool for early detection residual disease.

p27 mediates Cdk2 inhibition and is also found in cyclin D1-Cdk4 complexes. The present data support a role for the assembly of D-type cyclin-Cdk complexes indicate that both D1-Cdk4-p27 kinase activation are regulated by phosphorylation. Prior work showed can be phosphorylated protein B/Akt (PKB/Akt) at T157 T198. Here we show PKB appearance p27pT157 p27pT198 precede p27-cyclin early G1. PI3K/PKB rapidly reduced dissociated cellular D1-Cdk4. Mutant allele products lacking phosphorylation...

There are limited data regarding the optimal management of pre-menopausal women with cervical lesions measuring 2-4 cm who desire to preserve fertility. To evaluate feasibility preserving fertility.Neo-adjuvant chemotherapy will be effective in reducing size tumor and enable fertility-sparing surgery without compromising oncologic outcome.Pre-menopausal diagnosed stage International Federation Gynecology Obstetrics (FIGO) IB2, cancer wish fertility receive three cycles platinum/paclitaxel...

The aims of this study are to evaluate the stability radiomic features from Apparent Diffusion Coefficient (ADC) maps cervical cancer with respect to: (1) reproducibility in inter-observer delineation, and (2) image pre-processing (normalization/quantization) prior feature extraction. Two observers manually delineated tumor on ADC derived pre-treatment diffusion-weighted Magnetic Resonance imaging 81 patients FIGO stage IB-IVA cancer. To investigate whether volumetrically derived apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) from pretreatment diffusion-weighted (DW) magnetic resonance (MR) imaging is associated with disease recurrence in women locally advanced cervical cancer treated chemotherapy and radiation therapy. An ethics board-approved, retrospective study was conducted 85 stage IB-IVA chemo- therapy 2009-2013. All patients underwent MR for staging, including T2-weighted DW series, by using a 1.5- or 3.0-T imager. The mean,...

Universal tumor screening in endometrial carcinoma (EC) is increasingly adopted to identify individuals at risk of Lynch syndrome (LS). These cases involve mismatch repair-deficient (MMRd) EC without MLH1 promoter hypermethylation (PHM). LS confirmed through the identification germline MMR pathogenic variants (PV). In where these are not detected, emerging evidence highlights significance double somatic gene alterations as a sporadic cause MMRd, alongside POLE/POLD1 exonuclease domain (EDM)...

Despite intense multi-modal treatment, the prognosis for advanced cervical cancer remains poor. The recent increase in cases worldwide highlights an urgent need clinically validated biomarkers to guide patient management. Our pilot study investigates utility of human papillomavirus (HPV) circulating tumor deoxy ribonucleic acid (ctDNA) metastatic and recurrent cancer. We investigated association HPV ctDNA levels, early kinetics, detection viral-host integration sites with response outcomes....

BACKGROUND: Liver transplantation (LT) offers a possible cure for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cirrhosis. However, tumour progression while on the waiting list recurrence after LT are common. The prognostic significance of various pre- postoperative variables were investigated in regard to recurrence, an emphasis slope preoperative serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Data from 48 who had HCC diagnosed preoperatively underwent at McGill University...

To determine whether plasma human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA predates clinical recurrence and compare its accuracy with 3-month fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) in locally advanced cervical cancer. This prospective multicenter study accrued 23 women stage IB to IVA cancer planned for definitive chemoradiation therapy (CRT). Plasma HPV was measured serially by digital polymerase chain reaction, FDG-PET performed at 3 months post-CRT.Of the 19 HPV+ included this analysis,...

Adjuvant radiation plays an important role in reducing locoregional recurrence patients with uterine cancer.
