Significance This work uses state-of-the-art acquisition and analysis methods developed specifically for fetal MRI to delineate the developing brain’s association, projection, callosal white matter pathways. We describe unique, heterogenous maturational trajectories different tracts, suggesting that regionally distinct biological mechanisms are at play in building structural connectome utero.

Abstract Background In prospective experimental studies of neck pain patients, it is difficult to determine whether responses sham acupuncture differ from real due the heterogeneous methodologies in control/sham interventions. Here we aim compare specific and nonspecific effects electroacupuncture with four types acupuncture. Methods this double‐blind, sham‐controlled study, randomly assigned 175 patients receive 10 sessions electroacupuncture, shallow puncture, nonacupoint deep or...

Background: Transradial coronary catheterization is widely used as a diagnostic or interventional procedure for disease. However, it can lead to adverse complications, such radial artery occlusion. We sought determine whether preprocedural injection of nitroglycerin at the puncture site reduces Methods and Results: A total 188 patients undergoing transradial were randomized in single-blind fashion receive subcutaneous 0.5 mL 0.1% placebo site. The participants underwent ultrasound...

Background Tractography based on diffusion MRI (dMRI) is a useful tool to study white matter of the developing brain. However, its application in fetal brains limited due motion artifacts and low resolution utero dMRI, leading reduced reliability, which was scarcely investigated previous studies. Purpose To identify reliably traceable fibers assess whether reproducibility varies with gestational age (GA) between brain regions. Study Type Prospective cohort study. Abstract Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) is the leading cause of dry eye and proposed treatments are based on disease severity. Our purpose was to establish reliable morphologic measurements meibomian glands for evaluating MGD This retrospective, cross-sectional study included 100 patients 20 controls. The were classified into severity level (DESL) 1–4 symptoms clinical parameters including tear-film breakup time, ocular staining Schirmer I. loss, length, thickness, density distortion...

Abstract The neonatal brain undergoes dramatic structural and functional changes over the last trimester of gestation. accuracy source localisation activity recorded from scalp therefore relies on accurate age‐specific head models. Although an age‐appropriate population‐level atlas could be used, detail is lost in construction such atlases, particular with regard to smoothing cortical surface, so a model not representative anatomy at individual level.
