The included clobetasol propionate, antibiotic, and antifungal components. Her symptoms were worse during summertime. Phaeohyphomycosis is a rare subcutaneous fungal infection caused by melanin-containing brown-pigmented fungi. It typically occurs after skin injury in immunocompromised individuals. Herein, we report case of phaeohyphomycosis Exophiala xenobiotica an elderly Japanese female. A mass on her left lower leg was totally removed but reappeared two months later. The resolved with additional seven 200 mg/day oral itraconazole treatment. E. identified as new black yeast species 2006. Genetic...

Abstract Metapochonia bulbillosa ( Clavicipitaceae ) was isolated as a causative agent of new frog mycosis Pelophylax porosus brevipodus , one the endangered frogs in Japan. Analysis spontaneous outbreaks and infection experiments confirmed that fungus can lethally affect well s Dryophytes japonicus . This is first evidence species originally known plant pathogen, also affects vertebrates.

ABSTRACT Fungal diseases in immunocompromised hosts pose significant threats to their prognoses. An accurate diagnosis and identification of the fungal pathogens causing infection are critical determine proper therapeutic interventions, but these often not achieved, due difficulties with isolation morphological identification. In an effort ultimately carry out simultaneous detection all human pathogenic microbes, we developed a simple system identify 26 clinically important fungi by using...

Abstract We evaluated the efficacy of efinaconazole 10% topical solution in long‐term use, for up to 72 weeks, onychomycosis, including severe cases. Among 605 participants, 219 patients diagnosed as having onychomycosis were efinaconazole. The treatment success rate (<10% clinical involvement target toenail) at final assessment time point was 56.6%, complete cure 31.1% and mycological 61.6%, all which increased over time, demonstrating that continuous application contributed improvement...

We report here a case of fungal keratitis caused by Aspergillus viridinutans, member the genus which was found to have clinical and antifungal susceptibility characteristics distinct from species it most closely resembles, fumigatus. A 26-year-old woman presented with contact lens-associated keratitis, etiologic agent initially slow growing be resistant amphotericin B voriconazole. Therapeutic keratoplasty performed an isolate corneal scraping identified as A. viridinutans through partial...

Abstract This paper provides a field test of new power consumption billing division for building air‐conditioning systems. Since almost all is consumed by shared outdoor unit, bill must be logically divided among each tenant's indoor unit without using any physical meters. First, the discusses algorithm our ‘virtual wattmeter’ method logical consumption. Our result shows that correlation coefficient between set room temperature and was significant, shifting 1°C had effect decreasing hourly...

This paper proposes a network traffic simulation model for BACnet Web service (BACnet/WS) object access of building facility monitoring systems to evaluate the communication performance. The was verified by experiments using emulator. In our study, times BACnet/WS 1000 objects are approximately 5 20 longer than those BACnet/IP. addition, study indicates that there exists an optimum number objects, i.e. length each message in cases heavy background traffic.

Abstract Both medallion‐like dermal dendrocyte hamartoma and fibroblastic connective tissue nevus are rare benign lesions composed of CD34‐positive spindle cells. Although regarded as different diseases, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between them due their clinical pathological similarities. We present a case that could also be diagnosed propose the possibility overlap in these diseases.
