Natural killer (NK) cell-based immunotherapy has been considered a promising cancer treatment strategy with low side effects for early tumors and metastasis. However, the therapeutic efficacy is generally in established solid tumors. Ex vivo activation of NK cells exogenous cytokines often essential but ineffective to generate high doses functional treatment. Image-guided local delivery also suggested therapy. there lack noninvasive tools monitoring cells. Herein, magnetic nanocomplexes are...

Biological dosimetry is an essential analytic method to estimate the absorbed radiation dose in human body by measuring changes biomolecules after exposure. Joint response a network mass-casualty incidents one way overcome limitations of biological dosimetry, sharing workload among laboratories. This study aimed investigate current performance, collaborative activities and technical advances Korea biodosimetry (K-BioDos), suggest future directions toward successful joint response.

The dicentric chromosome assay is a gold standard method to estimate radiation exposure by calculating the ratio of chromosomes existing in cells. objective this study was propose an automatic discrimination based on deep convolutional neural networks using patient data. From 45 patients with exposure, conventional Giemsa-stained images 116,258 normal and 2800 were confirmed. ImageNet used pre-train VGG19, which modified fine-tuned. proposed VGG19 demonstrated performance, true positive rate...

Fine ordered stripe patterns are developed through the evaporative self-assembly of a PMMA-toluene solution and O2 plasma for applications to optical waveguide devices. The were formed by repeating "stick-slip" motion contact line in restricted geometry. High-quality patterned lines obtained removing residue pattern's sidewall using an asher.

A simple route to intriguing patterns for optical waveguides was demonstrated by controlled evaporative self-assembly (CESA) of confined microfluid. Silica ridge were fabricated applying wet and dry etching based on stripe formed CESA. The mode the resulting confirmed exposing them 1064 nm transmission light.

Highly ordered reduced graphene oxide (RG-O) micro-patterns were crafted by an efficient method capitalizing on the self-assembled polymer template. Central to this strategy is fabricate template over a large area via controlled evaporative self-assembly (CESA), and treat templated glass substrate with O2 plasma render favorable interaction between RG-O platelets substrate, thereby yielding well-defined microscopic patterns scale.
